Alec Baldwin's brother alleges that the 'Rust' trial was a manipulation of the legal system.
Actor, 58 years old, debuts new podcast 'One Bad Movie' on September 17th.
Supporting his brother, Alec Baldwin, in his trial in a New Mexico courtroom was a surreal experience for Stephen Baldwin.
"Baldwin told Planet Chronicle Digital that it felt like he was in a movie, which was eerie because he makes movies and wasn't trying to be funny."
In 2021, Alec was accused of manslaughter for shooting cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of "Rust." After almost three years of legal proceedings, Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning Alec cannot be charged again.
""If this behavior does not constitute bad faith, it is at least close to bad faith and exhibits signs of prejudice," Sommer stated."
The judge stated, "It is impossible for the court to rectify this injustice."
Alec was left stunned when special prosecutor Erlinda Ocampo Johnson resigned before his case was dismissed, which he recalled watching unfold.
ALEC BALDWIN'S SIBLING REMINISCES ABOUT BEING IN 'RUST' COURTROOM, DESCRIBING IT AS 'LIKE A MOVIE'.
"Clearly, the judge found it heinous. So, it was just wild," he said. "And no matter what, family’s family, you know, so it was a very positive outcome of my brother and I spending more time together."
"I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be present and offer support to him during that time."
Alec is "doing much better and healthier and getting ready for his new show and enjoying his family," as stated by Baldwin.
It is not right for the legal system to be manipulated falsely in any way, especially when a life has been lost. Our prayers are always going out and up for all of that stuff.
"I was just blessed that I was able to take the time and be there and support him and be in the room." — Stephen Baldwin
Alec Baldwin will be a guest on "One Bad Movie," the podcast hosted by "The Usual Suspects" star.
The podcast is a unique conversation where people are sharing personal stories, often with surprise and excitement, saying things they may not have shared on television before.
The upcoming episodes of "One Bad Movie" will feature a diverse range of guests from the entertainment industry, including celebrities and behind-the-scenes players, discussing their experiences and sharing their favorite "bad movies." Among the guests scheduled to appear are Alec's brother, Jamie Kennedy, Denise Richards, Eric Roberts, Beverly Mitchell, Melissa Rivers, Bronson Pinchot, and Michael Madsen.
Baldwin's experiences as an actor, producer, and writer served as the inspiration for the podcast, which he created to break the monotony of having to promote projects through multiple interviews.
""One of my favorite interviews so far has been with Eric Roberts about his film 'The Pope of Greenwich Village,' as it generates different conversations," he stated, highlighting the enjoyment he found in the interview."

Hailey Bieber and her husband, Justin Bieber, have given their 58-year-old father-in-law even more to celebrate with the recent arrival of their grandson, Jack.
""He's both healthy and beautiful, and he's quite the quiet type," the grandpa joked."
Baldwin advised his daughter, "Hailey grew up with some of the best food ever and an older school methodology about babies."
Kennya, his wife of 34 years, frequently checks in with Hailey about her health and wellness, discussing various remedies and fun stuff for skin care.
Despite having a new grandchild, podcast, and other projects, Baldwin remains focused on taking things "one day at a time."
""Stress is a killer, but life's a gift, so get off your phone and watch 'One Bad Movie' for some laughter," he said with a laugh."
I'm 58, my kids are married, and I have two grandkids. The podcast will be enjoyable. These are great times for me.
