The Duke of Sussex, who posted a birthday message on Friday, will be celebrating his special day in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children.

The Duke of Sussex, who is turning 40 on Sunday, expressed his excitement about entering a new decade in a new statement to the BBC.
The British royal expressed excitement about turning 40, despite initially feeling anxious about the age.
He stated that regardless of his age, his goal is to consistently appear and contribute positively to the world.
Harry intends to spend his birthday with his family in California before going on a vacation with his close friends.
Harry and Meghan Markle, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reside in the affluent coastal city of Montecito.
"Being a father of two kind and funny kids has given me a fresh perspective on life and sharpened my focus in all my work," said Harry. "Being a dad is one of life's greatest joys and has only made me more driven and more committed to making this world a better place."
Harry has been faced with turbulent times in the past 10 years.
In 2014, when he turned 30, he had just returned from his second tour in Afghanistan with the British Army. In his 2023 memoir "Spare," Harry revealed that he was grappling with "terrifying panic attacks" and bouts of lethargy.
Before turning 30, he ended his relationship with English actress and model Cressida Bonas.
At age 30, Harry founded his passion project, the Invictus Games.
In 2014, Harry established the Invictus Games, a global event inspired by the Warrior Games in the US, to motivate military veterans with disabilities to overcome their injuries through competition.

In 2018, Harry married Markle, an American actress whom he met in 2016.
Harry has had a strained relationship with his family and has seen his father infrequently since the couple left royal duties in 2020. The couple cited unbearable intrusions and racist attitudes of the British press as the reasons for their departure.

Despite speculation that Harry was considering a return to the U.K., those close to the prince confirm that he is content in California. While he would like to spend more time in the U.K. to work with his charitable organizations, he is also concerned about his security and bringing his family for visits.
The Duke of Sussex no longer has taxpayer-funded personal protective security since he relinquished his role as a working member of the royal family.
Harry is reportedly planning to appeal a court ruling that denied him security, with the aim of reinstating it to facilitate more flexible visits to the U.K. with his wife and children.
Sources claimed that the monarch's failure to take his son's phone calls has been a crucial factor in their ongoing estrangement.
Harry made a secret visit to his homeland for the memorial service of his deceased uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, on August 29th. According to People magazine, Harry resided with his uncle, Earl Charles Spencer, Princess Diana's brother, at Althorp, the Spencer family's ancestral estate.
