Nikki Bella speaks out about Artem Chigvintsev's domestic violence arrest.
On Aug. 29, a former 'Dancing with the Stars' pro was taken into custody for charges of domestic violence.
Nikki Bella is requesting privacy after her husband, Artem Chigvintsev, was arrested for domestic violence in Napa County on Thursday.
A representative for Bella, whose real name is Nikki Garcia, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital on Friday that the matter is private and requested privacy for herself and her family.
On Thursday, the 42-year-old pro dancer, who married the "Total Divas" star in 2022, was arrested at approximately 9:40 am for domestic violence or corporal injury to a spouse, former spouse, cohabitant, former cohabitant, or the mother or father of his or her child, according to records viewed by Planet Chronicle Digital.
On the same day, the pro dancer was scheduled for 10:40 a.m. and released at approximately 2:18 p.m. on a bail of $25,000.
It is unclear whether Bella was involved in the incident.
"According to Napa County Sheriff's public information officer Henry Wofford, when someone is accused of felony domestic violence, it typically involves a visible injury or a credible eyewitness. In this case, the deputies felt confident in arresting the individual on felony domestic violence charges."
Wofford states that the victim's name is not being disclosed due to laws safeguarding the privacy of domestic violence victims.
Woffod did not immediately respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
According to Planet Chronicle Digital, there were no plans for Chigvintsev to be included in Season 33 of "Dancing with the Stars," which will air next month.
The arrest comes two days after the couple celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary.
Chigvintsev posted an Instagram tribute, expressing his love and gratitude: "Happy anniversary, my love. You are my everything and I can't imagine my life without you."
"The former WWE star shared on Instagram a video montage of their wedding day, accompanied by the song "Can't Help Falling In Love," and wrote, "I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artem. Having a conversation with He & God. How my feelings felt too soon. It all felt too fast. And then this song came on. And that’s when I knew that I was falling in love with him and that it was all meant to be.""
The couple share four-year-old son, Matteo.
