Bertinelli, 64, confidently posed for a selfie in her bathroom mirror, wearing only a black bra and matching underwear, before snapping a photo with her black and white checkered phone case.
The Food Network celebrity embarked on a journey of self-love and healing throughout the past year and has since gained the support of millions of fans as she shares relatable anecdotes online about her daily life.
Bertinelli confessed to feeling content while standing in a hallway bathroom wearing only her undergarments, despite having a lot on her mind.
She wrote on Instagram that at some point she would discuss the body's madness she has experienced this year.
"Despite the wrinkles, saggy parts, and bumps on my body, I feel acceptance and appreciation to be standing in front of a mirror in a hotel bathroom in downtown Manhattan, ready to color my roots on a Monday night."
Though her path to acceptance has not been straightforward, Bertinelli decided to abstain from alcohol and concentrate more on her future rather than her past earlier this year.

She has posted videos and motivational messages reminding her followers to "never forget the wonder of existing."
Bertinelli wrote that he had always been skilled at criticizing himself for his past mistakes and how he could have done better. He became proficient in judging himself as the judge, jury, and executioner.
"I no longer want to do that. I desire to live an authentic life, with my heart open to all experiences. No more judging. I will accept myself, flaws and all. What makes me unique."
Bertinelli urged her followers to reflect on unhealthy habits, such as drinking or binge eating, that may be hindering their ability to fully open their hearts.
"I believe we have created a wonderful community, and I enjoy seeing you all interact with one another. The last post exemplified everyone's journey being shared, which has been motivating. When we collaborate and share our experiences, we can uplift one another. Let's continue to inspire each other," she wrote.
Her healing journey involved working on her cookbook "Indulge" as part of her "intentional" process. She shared with People that healing was not a straight line and included many therapy sessions and the realization that she deserved to feel good.
Ed and my last marriage brought all the drama and trauma I hadn't dealt with. That's when I started using food to numb my feelings. I thought I didn't deserve to be loved because of it.
"The cookbook was a result of my emotional and mental healing journey," she stated. "Although we're discussing a cookbook, this cookbook helped me get through it all."
Wolfgang Van Halen, the only child of late musician Eddie Van Halen and her first husband, was born in 1991. Her last marriage was with financial planner Tom Vitale, whom she divorced in 2022.
"As I allowed myself to cry, I felt better. My intention was not to be happy, sad, or thin. Instead, I aimed to be true to myself," she stated in the book.
The Emmy Award-winning actress and writer Mike Goodnough ended their 10-month relationship in November.
