At the 2024 Emmy Awards, Henry Winkler and Ron Howard will reunite.
'Happy Days' turned 50: Ron Howard and Henry Winkler marked the milestone.
On Sunday night, Ron Howard and Henry Winkler were reunited on the Emmy Awards' stage.
During the pair's introduction, Winkler made a joke while paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of the iconic show. On stage, which was a replica of Arnold's Drive-In, Winkler and Howard remarked that they were not greeted by the "Happy Days" theme song.
To start playing the song "Take Me to the River" by Pratt & McClain, Winkler hit the jukebox onstage.
Winkler, like Howard, was also nominated for an Emmy three times for his role in "Happy Days."
The show, which aired from 1974 to 1984, brought happiness to American households. For a decade, viewers watched the Cunninghams navigate their lives as a middle-class family in Wisconsin during the '50s and '60s. The show represents a simpler time for many fans, which is why they continue to seek it out.
The show not only gained fame but also launched the careers of its actors, Howard and Winkler. Now, 50 years later, Howard is a top Hollywood director, and Winkler has found a new fan base with the show "Barry."
In August 2022, Williams stated on Planet Chronicle Digital that a potential reboot was possible and that being reunited for any reason, such as a baseball game or a new TV show, would be a wonderful gift.
Marion Ross, Anson Williams, Erin Moran, and Scott Baio were also stars on "Happy Days" aside from Winkler and Howard.
Planet Chronicle Digital's Lori Bashian contributed to this post.
