The latest romance rumor is sparked by the 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant's 'amazing' chemistry with their ballroom partner.
Despite having "amazing" ballroom chemistry, Brooks Nader and partner Gleb Savchenko are not dating.
Gleb Savchenko and Brooks Nader are the latest dancing duo to spark romance rumors.
Nader, 27, posted a photo of herself sitting on Savchenko's lap on social media. In the picture, both the model and the 41-year-old professional dancer placed their hands on each other's thighs.
According to Page Six, Savchenko stated that he believes Nader is "great" and that they possess "amazing" chemistry, but they have not yet taken their relationship to a romantic level.
The 33rd season of "Dancing with the Stars" premieres on Tuesday, allowing fans to witness the chemistry between Nader and Savchenko.
It's not uncommon for "Dancing with the Stars" professionals to develop romantic relationships with their partners. The show has resulted in numerous relationships and even some marriages.
Rachel Goldberg, a licensed marriage and family therapist in California's Studio City, stated that the show's "intensity" and the amount of time they spend together throughout the season between practices and performances is the ideal environment for romantic connections to develop.
"Both individuals have a shared objective of winning and surpassing the other competitors, which fosters an initial connection and sense of camaraderie. As they are in close proximity, they frequently come into contact and occupy each other's personal space, which stimulates physical reactions that increase attraction."
Goldberg pointed out that celebrities and professional dancers experience a high-pressure environment filled with anxiety, which leads them to bond over shared experiences.
Their eyes were locked on each other as they lay on the floor, and only their partner knew what they were feeling in that moment. They experienced big emotions together, whether it was disappointment over low scores or excitement after a win.
"In conclusion, these individuals possess appealing personalities and are well-suited for media appearances, enhancing their bond. Typically, this highly charged, physical encounter results in romantic relationships. Nevertheless, the longevity of these relationships remains uncertain."
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev
In 2017, Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev became a couple on "Dancing with the Stars" during season 25. By 2019, they were officially dating, and Chigvintsev proposed to Nikki in January 2020.
The couple married in 2022 and share 4-year-old son, Matteo.
On August 29, Chigvintsev was arrested for domestic violence after authorities received a call. He was released on $25,000 bail and a court date was set for November 4.
At the time, a representative for Nikki stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the matter was private and requested privacy for her and her family.
On September 11, Nikki filed for divorce and sought sole custody of the couple's 4-year-old son.
Matthew Lawrence and Cheryl Burke
Although Matthew Lawrence never participated in "Dancing with the Stars," he had the opportunity to meet pro Cheryl Burke through the show. Matthew's brother, Joey Lawrence, was a contestant on Season 3 of the dancing competition.
Matthew and Burke were dating by February 2007. Despite breaking up in 2008, they reunited in 2017.
"Initially, when we started dating, we were both young and inexperienced, and I was new to Hollywood," she previously told People magazine. "Now, as adults, we feel more balanced."
In 2022, Burke filed for divorce from his spouse, whom he married in 2019, due to irreconcilable differences.
Derek Hough and Brooke Burke
Brooke Burke admitted she would have wanted to have a "love affair" with Derek Hough if she had been single, despite never dating him.
If I wasn't married, I would have wished for a love affair with someone, according to Burke on Cheryl Burke's podcast, "Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans" in 2023.
"I haven't said that before," she added, "and I say it with respect."
In 2011, Burke married the French singer, but they divorced in 2020.
I would have had an affair with Derek," she said. "But listen, let me explain why: When you're not a dancer, you're physically connected to someone. I've never felt as connected as I did with Derek, besides with a lover or a spouse. Every day for three months, I was in his arms. That's why people fall in love. You can smell them, feel them, and breathe with them.
"Making love on a dance floor can be more intimate than making love in a bedroom when you're truly connected. It's like sharing a fearful experience with someone you trust, and you're both in the rhythm. How many times have you gone through an experience with someone where they're all you've got?"
Alan Bersten and Alexis Ren
During the 27th season of "DWTS," Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten started a relationship, which was documented on the show in 2018.
"In a pre-taped interview, she confessed that she has developed feelings for Alan. Although she didn't anticipate this, it happened rapidly, and she is still trying to come to terms with it."
Ren and Bersten ended their relationship shortly after the season ended, as Ren was traveling and Bersten was preparing for a tour in Los Angeles.
Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff
Karina Smirnoff and Mario Lopez, both professional dancers on "Dancing with the Stars," developed a romantic relationship during the third season of the show.
In 2008, after dating for two years, the couple split. There were rumors at the time that Lopez had been unfaithful in the relationship.
Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec
In 2015, on the 20th season of "Dancing with the Stars," "Shark Tank" star Robert Herjavec and professional dancer Kym Johnson formed a partnership.
In 2016, they got married and in April 2018, they welcomed twins, Hudson and Haven.
Johnson returned to "Dancing with the Stars" in 2017, but retired her dancing shoes after that season.
