Kate Moss' sister warns against Ozempic overdose: "My biggest regret"
Before being rushed to the hospital, Lottie Moss used Ozempic for two weeks.
Anyone considering taking Ozempic should be aware of the potential risks, as Kate Moss' sister had to warn people about the dangers after the English model was rushed to the hospital.
Lottie, 26, confessed that she used Ozempic for two weeks "a few months ago" because she was not content with her weight.
"Lottie shared on her "Dream On with Lottie Moss" podcast that she had a friend who could obtain a medication for her, but she found it unethical. The medication was prescribed by a doctor, but it wasn't the same as going to a doctor's office and undergoing tests, which are necessary when taking medication like Ozempic."
The British model admitted that Ozempic was not intended for weight loss in individuals who are not very large.
Semaglutide, commonly known as Ozempic, was initially designed for individuals with Type 2 diabetes but has gained popularity for its weight loss benefits.
"Lottie stated that the amount she was taking was intended for individuals weighing over 220 pounds, but she falls within the 110-pound range. She regrets not knowing these small details before taking the medication."
Lottie then encouraged listeners not to take Ozempic.
"Lottie warned against making the same decision she did, which she considered the worst she had ever made. She emphasized that it was not worth it and urged others to avoid it at all costs. She added that she would rather die than take it again and that it made her feel nauseous."
After throwing up constantly, Lottie dropped nearly 20 pounds.
"I believe I began at approximately 132 pounds, and with the first dose, I lost weight to 125 pounds. Then, I dropped to around 119 pounds. It was astonishing. My lowest weight was 116 pounds. Although it was a significant weight loss in a short period, it was not a healthy one."
During those two days in bed, I reached the conclusion that I wanted to end my medication use. Unlike a pill that can be easily stopped, antidepressants remain in your system and cannot be easily discontinued.
"One day, I felt so sick that I told my friend, "I can't keep any water or food down, no liquids or anything. I need to go to the hospital, I feel really sick.""
Lottie admitted to experiencing a seizure due to dehydration and visited the emergency room.
