Ole Miss' Lane Kiffin and Texas A&M's Mike Elko debate night kickoff times.
On Saturday evening, New Mexico State will visit Texas A&M for a primetime game.
The SEC coach may have a concern about the start time of the game between Texas A&M and New Mexico State on Nov. 16, despite the Aggies being heavily favored to win.
The game between Texas A&M and New Mexico State will commence at 7:45 p.m. ET.
This season, Texas A&M has become accustomed to playing under the lights at its home stadium, with three primetime contests.
In 2024, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko joked about the number of night games his team has been scheduled for, poking fun at Lane Kiffin.
LSU's night games at Death Valley are a source of displeasure for Ole Miss head coach Kiffin, who believes the Rebels have been scheduled more often in the early window on Saturdays.
Elko jokingly proposed trading Texas A&M's prime-time schedule with Ole Miss in 2025.
"Another night game at Kyle Field," Elko stated during a radio interview on Wednesday. "We value those. It seems like that's all we play these days. … We receive them all, and Kiffin wants more, so that's fine. He and I will swap next year or something."
Kiffin responded on X Thursday.
"Anytime, Coach. It's not fair to our fans," he wrote. "By the way, check out the QB's play and scoring at home and away games."
The Texas Longhorns are scheduled to play at Kyle Field on Nov. 30, and there is a possibility that the game will be a nighttime kickoff. However, an official start time has not been determined yet.
This weekend, the 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies, who recently suffered an upset loss to South Carolina and had a bye last week, must avoid dropping another game to maintain their College Football Playoff rankings.
