Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, speaks out following the release of a burglary report.
Mahomes described the situation as both 'frustrating' and 'disappointing'.
On Wednesday, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs spoke out about the burglary that happened at his home last month.
Mahomes addressed the situation in his media availability.
"Clearly, it's frustrating and disappointing. Although I can't provide many specifics due to the ongoing investigation, it's evident that this is something no one wants to experience, especially yourself," he stated.
Mahomes refused to reveal if he or his family was present during the incident.
"I can't reveal much about the details at the moment due to the investigation, but it will be discussed eventually," he said.
A robbery occurred at Mahomes' home in Belton, Missouri, at around midnight on Oct. 6, according to documents from the Cass County Sheriff's Office. No items were reported missing in the report.
The Associated Press reported that Sheriff's department spokesman Ronnie Lozano stated that the investigation is still active and ongoing, but it was not specified if any arrests were made.
On Oct. 7, a home matching Travis Kelce’s address in Leawood, Kansas, was broken into. The report did not mention Kelce’s name, stating that losses included $20,000 in cash and damage to a rear door. Kelce had relocated to the community to avoid the paparazzi while dating Taylor Swift.
