The atmosphere in the parking lot of MetLife Stadium on Thursday night was electric as New York Jets fans were beyond excited for the division rivalry game.

The Jets and New England Patriots, their AFC East rival they haven't defeated at home since 2015, faced off in "Thursday Night Football" at East Rutherford, New Jersey this week.

In Section L5 of the parking lot, some Jets fans were seen burning a No. 10 Patriots jersey, which was shared on social media.

A Jets fan wearing a green chef's hat and white chef's jacket coordinated the lighting while performing the "J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!" chant led by "Fireman Ed" inside MetLife Stadium during games.

Mac Jones, the former Patriots quarterback, used to wear No. 10 on the back of his jersey until he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason.

In his rookie season, the new Patriots quarterback, Drake Maye, wears No. 10.

In no time, the navy blue, red, and white jersey ignited in flames, as the Jets fans in the crowd roared with excitement.

The Jets and Patriots entered this rivalry game with identical records of 1-1. The Jets won their first game of the season last week against the Titans, while the Patriots lost in overtime to the Seahawks after surprising the Bengals in Week 1.

As Patriots fans burned Jets jerseys, many entered the stadium wearing No. 8 in green and white, supporting their 40-year-old quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers was set to return to the MetLife Stadium turf for the first time since tearing his Achilles on the fourth play of the 2023 season. Jets fans were eager to see him make it through the first two games and look spry in the pocket as he led the offense, but everyone was eager to see what would happen when he returned home.

During the second drive of the game, Rodgers scored his first MetLife touchdown as a Jet by finding Allen Lazard on a screen for a 10-yard score.
