While Mike Conley was at a Vikings game, his home was burglarized, according to police.
On September 15, Conley was a guest at the Vikings game against the 49ers.
On Sunday, during the Minnesota Vikings' Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers, NBA star Mike Conley was present.
Despite attending the NFL game at U.S. Bank Stadium, the Minnesota Timberwolves guard's home in Medina, Minnesota, was targeted by thieves, police said.
On the afternoon of Sept. 15, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported that Conley's suburban Minneapolis residence was broken into. Medina Police Chief Jason Nelson stated that Conley's property was one of three home burglaries that authorities investigated last Sunday. All of the homes were unoccupied at the time the break-ins occurred, and police believe that at least two suspects were responsible for the crimes.
An undetermined amount of jewelry was left behind by the burglars at each property, according to the police.
Nelson observed that the suspects "could have conducted surveillance or deduced some patterns" of the previous residents before entering their homes.
It is reported that the suspects approached each house from the rear, entered through ground-level windows, and stole valuable items from primary bedrooms. Each crime took about five minutes to execute, according to investigators.
An image of a car fleeing Conley's home was captured on video surveillance. Authorities suspect the vehicle may be linked to the suspects. No arrests have been made as of Thursday afternoon.
This month, the Minnesota Twins' home ballpark, situated in downtown Minneapolis, was graced by Conley as he tossed the ceremonial first pitch.
During the game against the 49ers, Minnesota's quarterback Sam Darnold tossed two touchdowns, aiding the team in improving to a 2-0 record.
The Vikings will host the Houston Texans on Sept. 22.
