Trump makes a prediction about the 2024 presidential election.
No Republican has won New York State in a presidential election in four decades.
In the reliably blue state of New York, former President Donald Trump predicted victory in November while standing in front of a packed arena.
Trump vowed that it was the first time in many years that a Republican could honestly say they would win New York.
Trump stated that the election is over after completing it, speaking to a crowd of approximately 16,000 people in a Nassau County arena, a Republican stronghold in suburban New York City.
Trump lost his native state by over 23 points four years ago, and polling suggests he has no chance of winning New York in his 2024 election against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Since 1980, no Republican presidential candidate has won New York state.
In 1984, President Ronald Reagan won the state as part of his landslide re-election victory.
If Trump regains the presidency, he vowed to decrease taxes, decrease crime, and reduce stress levels in New York.
During a second Trump term, the former president promised to designate the Ground Zero site at the World Trade Center as a national monument and ensure its preservation and maintenance by the US government.
In May, Trump held a large campaign event in the Bronx, New York City, and on Wednesday, he held another such event in the Empire State.
As President Biden's poll numbers plummeted after his poor debate performance in late June, there were rumors of New York being a potential contender for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination. However, these discussions were brief and faded away when Harris was named as the Democrats' 2024 ticket leader two months later.
What was the purpose of Trump holding a campaign rally outside of New York City with only 49 days left until Election Day?
On the eve of the rally, Tim Murtaugh, the Trump campaign spokesman, stated on Planet Chronicle that New York is undoubtedly the largest media center in the country.
Murtaugh highlighted that the message delivered by Trump is directly piped into homes in every battleground state market. The most valuable asset we possess is President Trump's time, and this event is utilizing it efficiently.
Although it is highly unlikely that Trump will win New York in the presidential race, the rally could aid Republicans in maintaining their House of Representatives majority in the upcoming November elections.
In New York state, several GOP-controlled House seats are at risk this year, including one held by Rep. Anthony D’Esposito of Long Island. Several of these seats were represented at the rally, and the former president gave shoutouts to the House Republicans and congressional candidates as he spoke to the crowd.
D'Esposito stated in an interview with Planet Chronicle' Bryan Ilenas that New York may not be a battleground state, but there is a battleground on Long Island. Trump will need a House majority to win the election, and that House majority is tied to the Empire State.
Trump's rally was his first since the second alleged assassination attempt against him, and he stated that the events had strengthened his determination.
"These encounters with death have not weakened my determination," he stated. "Instead, they have strengthened my resolve to utilize my time on Earth to make America exceptional for all citizens, to prioritize America's interests above all else."
God has saved my life twice, according to Trump.
