A leading Black activist group's director is predicted to criticize the Biden administration's energy plan for prioritizing climate policies over the affordability crisis, based on a leaked preview of Capitol Hill testimony.

Donna Jackson, the director of membership development at Project 21, a Black think tank at the National Center for Public Policy Research, will testify during a House Budget Committee hearing on Thursday, titled "The Cost of the Biden Energy Crisis."

As per a copy of Jackson's prepared remarks, she will discuss the cost of household appliances, electric vehicle mandates, and how the housing affordability crisis is affecting Black Americans.

"Relying solely on public transportation would not have been sufficient for raising five kids as a single mom, according to Jackson," he states in his prepared remarks.

The activist is expected to tell the committee that dangling free money in front of low-income households does not make up for the damage done. Whether it is proposals to give $25,000 to new home buyers or the generous tax credits to buy EVs, or government rebates for politically-correct appliances, no handout can substitute for getting rid of these policies.

The Biden administration's "Green New Deal-style policies" will be criticized by Jackson.

"The green policies are detrimental to the American people, particularly low-income households, when energy affordability is not prioritized."

It is predicted that Jackson will end her speech by addressing energy poverty and explaining how the continued use of coal, oil, and natural gas will guarantee energy abundance and affordability.

The hearing will also feature Diana Furchtgott-Roth, Alex Epstein, and Trevor Higgins as witnesses.
