Washington Post columnist criticizes VP Harris's "Seinfeld" campaign as a "show about nothing."
Since the last month, the Trump-Vance ticket has conducted a total of 39 interviews, while the Harris-Walz ticket has only completed six.
Marc Thiessen and Mollie Hemingway of Planet Chronicle criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for evading the press and not clearly communicating her policies to voters before the upcoming election.
Mollie Hemingway, a senior editor at The Federalist, stated on "The Ingraham Angle" on Thursday that Kamala Harris is afraid to speak with the media, despite the fact that the corporate press are already on her side and want her to succeed.
Valerie Jarrett, a former Obama adviser, denied that Kamala Harris was running to win on her race and gender, stating that her campaign had energized the Democratic Party by injecting "joy and laughter" into politics. Laura Ingraham played a clip of Jarrett's comments on Planet Chronicle.
Marc Thiessen of The Washington Post questioned why Kamala Harris hasn't been more transparent about her policies if her campaign was not deep.
He reacted by saying that if she is not running due to gender or race, then what is her agenda? She won't reveal it.
He joked that the Harris campaign is more like the 90's sitcom "Seinfeld," a show about nothing, rather than an 80's sitcom.
In the 47 days since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, Harris has faced criticism for only taking a few interviews. Last week, she broke her media silence with a CNN interview with Dana Bash, which some deemed too easy. This week, she conducted two radio interviews that aired on Friday.
Harris was criticized by Thiessen for giving a "word salad" when answering a straightforward question about her plans on her first day in office during the CNN interview.
""She couldn't answer what she would do on day one, despite being the nominee of the party and giving a word salad," he continued."
Despite the media's soft treatment of her, Harris is still in a tight race with former President Trump, according to Hemingway's argument.
Hemingway contended that the issue lies in the fact that Democrats and their media have gone to great lengths to aid her in reaching this stage, yet her polls are not as high as they should be. As a result, the race will be closely contested due to the country's division. However, she should be performing better given the amount of propaganda she has received from her allies in the press.
The Trump-Vance team has conducted 39 interviews, while the Harris-Walz team has only had six non-scripted interviews.
Since replacing President Biden as the Democratic nominee, Harris has not held a formal press conference. Instead, she has opted for quick "gaggles" and off-the-record sessions with reporters on her campaign plane.
Trump and Harris will meet Tuesday at a debate hosted by ABC News.
On "America's Newsroom" on Friday, Harris-Walz campaign senior spokesperson Ian Sams defended Harris' interactions with the media.
"As the vice-president, Sams has conducted approximately 90 interviews this year, according to host Dana Perino. Perhaps people were not paying attention or listening."
He stated that she would continue to take questions from reporters as November approaches.
