''The View' host defends Brittany Mahomes for supporting Trump: "She's in an interracial marriage"'
Hostin stated that supporting racism is problematic, especially for someone in an interracial marriage.
On Wednesday, "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin criticized Brittany Mahomes for suggesting she might support Donald Trump on Instagram, stating that she should have been more cautious due to her interracial marriage.
Since she is in an interracial marriage, it is problematic for her to support a racist, as her children are biracial and her family is one of the families that could not have lived in any of Donald Trump's buildings in the 1970s.
Patrick Mahomes' wife, Mahomes, liked an Instagram post on Aug. 13 that supported Donald Trump's platform and faced backlash. She also expressed support for the GOP ticket in subsequent comments on her own posts.
Hostin, who frequently criticizes Black Republicans, stated that maybe she lacks political acumen or is not well-read.
Since her endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, Taylor Swift has been seen with Mahomes at various events. Trump has criticized Swift on social media following the endorsement.
Alyssa Farah Griffin suggested that Mahomes' support for Trump cannot be confirmed based solely on her liking posts and comments, but the Daily Mail's reporting of an anonymous source close to Mahomes stating that Trump's attack on Swift left her "shaken to the core" indicates otherwise.
"Pick your champions," co-host Whoopi Goldberg told Mahomes.
Swift endorsed Harris after the ABC News presidential debate.
Planet Chronicle Digital has reached out to Brittany Mahomes for comment.
During a recent press conference, Patrick Mahomes notably refused to endorse a presidential candidate.
"He stated that he did not want his platform to be used to endorse a candidate or do anything else, and instead believed that his place was to inform people about voter registration and encourage them to make informed decisions based on their own research."
Hostin has stated that Black Republicans are a contradiction and has also denied the existence of Latino Republicans.
During an episode of "The View" in 2022, she stated that she did not comprehend Black Republicans or Latino Republicans.
