Video of Harris as 'last person in the room' becomes viral on 3rd anniversary of Afghanistan attack.
Her 2021 CNN interview resurfaces to haunt her.
The third anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing, which resulted in the deaths of 13 Americans during the Biden administration's Afghanistan withdrawal, has prompted conservatives to dig up old comments by Vice President Kamala Harris.
The suicide bombing at Hamid Karzai International Airport on Aug. 26, 2021, resulted in the deaths of 13 American service members and over 100 Afghans. Islamic State terrorists admitted responsibility for the attack.
Before the terrorist attack, Harris discussed her role in a CNN interview, confirming that she was the last person in the room when Biden decided to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
Did you happen to be the last person in the room in Afghanistan?
"Yes," Harris responded.
"Did Harris respond "I do" when Bash asked, "And you feel comfortable?""
On Monday, House Speaker Mike Johnson shared a clip from the controversial CNN interview on social media.
Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick wrote that Kamala Harris was proud to be the last person in the room for the decision that resulted in the deaths of 13 US service members and injuries to many more in Kabul three years ago.
The unflattering video of Kamala Harris was posted by both Jason Miller, a senior adviser on the Trump campaign, and the RNC Research account.
Tom Shattuck, a radio host, suggested that Kamala Harris should address some questions about her presidency, as she has not given any interviews or held press conferences since being named the Democratic nominee.
A Trump supporter retorted, "The Democrats will attempt to erase your memory of Kamala's role as Vice President in the Biden Administration, despite her being present and making decisions during that time."
"She was so proud of herself," another Trump supporter added.
Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., wrote that today we mourn the 13 Americans who died due to the Biden-Harris administration's intel and operational failure at Abbey Gate. Trump honored the 13 heroes by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, while Biden is at the beach and Harris has remained silent. Despite Harris's three-year-old statement that she had no regrets over the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, there is still no accountability.
Biden's decision on Afghanistan was made after the vice president was the last person in the room.
"She boasted about being the last person in the room, and she was. She was the last person in the room with Biden when they decided to withdraw troops from Afghanistan," he said last week during a North Carolina rally. "She had the final say and voted in favor of it."
Many others have hit Harris for her role:
Some relatives of the 13 American service members killed last month appeared on stage at the Republican National Convention, claiming that Biden had never publicly acknowledged their loved ones.
