TikToker interviews VP nominee Tim Walz on gutter maintenance.
On Thursday, CNN will feature a joint interview with Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Walz.
In the latest episode of a TikTok series, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz discussed gutter maintenance despite not having given a formal press interview yet.
In an episode of "Subway Takes," the Democratic vice presidential candidate discussed with host Kareem Rahma the "most neglected part of home ownership," according to Walz, which is gutters.
"Personally, I've had issues with gutters," Walz stated. "When they malfunction, it can lead to wet basements and ice dams, which can cause significant problems."
Walz discussed various topics related to gutters, including the importance of a gutter helmet for protection and the belief that a well-tended gutter is more crucial than a well-tended lawn.
"Gutters are a significant issue, according to Walz," he stated.
In the comment section below the video, both the Kamala HQ TikTok account and Walz's account were posted.
"Gutter helmets. Trust me on this one," Walz commented.
"Kamala HQ was referred to as "America's dad" by the author, accompanied by a cowboy hat emoji, in an attempt to depict her as having a "folksy charm.""
Over 10,000 likes have been given to the video, which has surpassed 42,000 views as of Tuesday afternoon.
Like Vice President Kamala Harris, Walz has faced criticism for not conducting a formal interview since being named the vice presidential candidate.
Politico reports that the Harris campaign has been uncertain about how to utilize Walz in the media due to his potential lack of understanding of Harris's stance on every issue.
After weeks of avoiding the press, Harris and Walz announced a joint interview with CNN on Tuesday.
The campaign released a 10-minute video two weeks ago featuring the two interviewees speaking to each other instead of the media.
