''The View' applauds Trump's conviction: "I was so thrilled, I began spilling"'
Ana Navarro stated that this man turned her life into a living nightmare.
On Friday, "The View" was ecstatic about the conviction of former President Trump in his historic criminal trial, viewing it as a victory for the country and themselves.
""I felt like I won, as did America, New York, and the Manhattan DA's office," co-host Sunny Hostin said."
Joy Behar, the co-host, exclaimed, "I was so thrilled, I accidentally leaked a bit."
The six hosts of the show, two of whom are Republicans but are also fervently against Trump, were present at the table. They exited with wide grins, eager to revel in the news. They also shared when they first learned of the guilty verdict.
Whoopi Goldberg, who usually takes Fridays off, unexpectedly appeared on the live broadcast and announced the guilty verdict to applause from the audience. Ana Navarro also applauded, although Goldberg made a mistake and called Trump a "conficted" felon before correcting herself and saying "convicted."
In 2016, Trump paid $130,000 to Stormy Daniels to keep their alleged affair a secret, and he was later found guilty of falsifying business records to cover up the payment.
Goldberg remarked, "That's what you get when he's cheap."
"The jury of 12 unanimously declared the defendant guilty on all 34 counts, as stated by Behar,".
Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump aide who became critical of him after the 2020 stolen election claims, was taken aback despite anticipating the outcome.
She stated that, based on her personal knowledge of Donald Trump, she believes he possesses a sense of invincibility and that he would succeed in evading consequences. Despite her prediction that this would occur, she believes he did not anticipate the extent to which it would happen.
With the appeals process and presidential election occurring in five months, he believed he could evade consequences for this action.
Trump's conviction was long overdue, according to Navarro, who described the day as both solemn and a matter of just desserts.
"This man has caused me four years of misery and six years of suffering for our country, and therefore, he must be held accountable," Navarro stated. "He has been able to evade consequences for his actions, including cheating, lying, and committing crimes, throughout his entire life."
Hostin stated that she was not somber at all, likening the victory to the New York Knicks winning the NBA Finals.
On Friday, Trump criticized the trial, prosecutors, and judge at Trump Tower after his conviction, stating he would appeal and continue to fight for his supporters. He did not answer any questions from the media.
