Taylor Swift didn't sit with Brittany Mahomes at the Chiefs game because of her husband's support for Trump.
On Friday, Maher stated that since Brittany liked some of Trump's tweets, she and Taylor can no longer sit in the same box, and Taylor is supporting Kamala.
Bill Maher on HBO's "Real Time" joked that Taylor Swift did not sit with Brittany Mahomes at the Kansas City Chiefs game because Mahomes had recently shown support for some of former President Trump's policies online.
During the recent NFL game, Maher observed that he and the other guest had a disagreement about Trump, which led them to sit in different suites, despite the fact that they had sat together almost every game last season.
Hasn't partisanship gone too far, Maher wondered about a possible seating change?
After several weeks of scrutiny on Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Maher's commentary seemed to be a more comedic bit.
On August 13, a Sports Illustrated model defended herself after Mahomes liked a Trump Instagram post outlining the "2024 GOP platform," which triggered a backlash from users.
Being an adult hater requires deep-seated issues that you refuse to address from childhood. Your brain is fully developed, yet you still hate to see others succeed.
She later alluded to the incident in another post, writing, "You can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have differing views and still be kind. Read that again!"
Mahomes also liked a social media comment that read "TRUMP-VANCE 2024."
Brittany Mahomes defended Trump and thanked him on Truth Social.
The NFL wife is well known for her close relationship with Swift, who is currently dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. They were often seen sharing suites during Chiefs games last season.
There are rumors that the new seating arrangement may indicate political differences between the women, given Swift's past criticism of Trump.
Maher couldn’t resist the gossip.
"The NFL season began yesterday. Previously, Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes were always seated together in the same box. However, they can no longer sit in the same box due to their differing political views. During his Friday show, he stated that Brittany supported some of Trump's tweets, while Taylor backed Kamala."
Swift has yet to endorse either candidate ahead of the November presidential election.
