Rock star interrupts performance to deliver a religious message: 'Jesus Christ loves you'
Brad Arnold stated, "You will always be sufficient due to the reason that Jesus Christ loves you."
Thousands of fans were stunned when the lead singer of 3 Doors Down paused a recent show to share a message about the love of Jesus.
On August 23, at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania, the band, famous for its 2000 hit "Kryptonite," had Brad Arnold share an uplifting message.
He stated that he felt a stronger connection to their next song, "Away From the Sun," than to most of their other songs. He explained that the lyrics of the song resonated with him because they conveyed a message that he felt was all too familiar - that the world constantly tells us that we are not good enough, not strong enough, not beautiful enough, not rich enough, and that we will never win. He pointed out that social media is a major contributor to this message, as it constantly reinforces these negative beliefs.
He exclaimed, "That's an absolute lie!"
The crowd was told by him that they are loved, enough, and will win. Not only will they win, but they will. They will always be enough because Jesus Christ loves them.
Some fans cheered and applauded the singer's message.
"Jesus Christ loves you so much that he made you just the way you are, just the way you're standing there right now," Arnold added.
"He assured me that there is more to come and that I will ultimately succeed."
"Today, I failed and so did you, but you are still the one that Jesus loves," Arnold declared before leading the crowd in a chant of, "I am the one that Jesus loves."
"Thank you so much, my friends," he added.
According to CBN, Arnold has previously disclosed his faith on stage.
He sometimes reposts Bible verses on social media and is vocal about his beliefs.
