Politico was criticized for suggesting that Kamala Harris was being tied to Joe Biden by Vance: "She's already his vice president."
A community note was issued to a media outlet.
Vice President Kamala Harris was disassociated from the Biden administration in a Politico post, resulting in a Community Note being slapped on the publication.
Vance held a campaign event on Tuesday and used the opportunity to criticize Harris and tie her to Biden, saying, "Our corrupt leadership."
Users on the platform, formerly known as Twitter, write community notes to provide critical context when they feel it is missing from posts. In this instance, users reminded the news outlet that Harris is closely linked to Biden.
The Politico headline stated that Kamala Harris is currently serving as Vice President of the United States for the Biden-Harris administration, having been sworn into office on January 20th, 2021.
Critics noticed that Harris supporters and their media allies have tried to separate Harris from Biden's unpopular administration, but the Politico post didn't go unnoticed.
Mary Katharine Ham, a Planet Chronicle contributor, quipped, "I found the connection," in reference to a White House photo featuring the "Biden-Harris administration."
He replied to the Politico post, stating, "She is Biden's Vice President."
Denny Burk, a Boyce College professor, commented, "The best community note I've ever seen was written by Politico. It was needed because their headline was so confusing. The writer believes that Vance's connection to the Vice President is not credible. They must think we're not smart."
Sen. Ted Cruz made a sarcastic comment, stating that the Republicans had hacked the White House's website and inserted Kamala's name.
Ingrid Jacques, a USA Today columnist, wrote a community note.
Many others took to X with thoughts:
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from Politico when requesting a comment.
