'Pink is for the brave!': Jimmy Failla showcases his style on Fanatics Fest red carpet
A pink jacket worn by Jimmy Failla elicited a range of opinions.
Jimmy Failla, the host of "Planet Chronicle Saturday Night," showcased his flamboyant style by wearing a "Pepto-Bismol" pink jacket on the red carpet at the Fanatics Fest in New York City. The jacket received approval from several sports legends and celebrities, but not all were impressed.
David Ortiz, also known as "Big Papi," was the first to give his approval.
""Why not wear this pink jacket?" Failla asked him. "Real men wear pink!" he exclaimed."
At the sports convention, Failla carried his microphone and asked different versions of the same question: "Was he rocking the look, or should he have kept it hanging in the closet?"
Robert Kraft, CEO of the New England Patriots, and former MLB pitcher CC Sabathia answered the question.
"Would CC Sabathia rock the pink?" Failla asked.
"Absolutely," he answered.
"Very becoming," Kraft echoed.
Failla received support from baseball legend Pedro Martinez, former NBA star Julius Erving, college basketball coach Penny Hardaway, CBS News personality Gayle King, and rapper Jay-Z.
Although some people were not in favor of the flashy pink outfit, Chris "Mad Dog" Russo, a sports radio legend, was the first to say "No."
Tiffany Haddish joked about Failla's "Pepto-Bismol" appearance and rejected her.
"We were riding high until we got shot down," he said, laughing.
