Parents should be cautious with the Harris/Walz presidency, warns leader of parental rights group.
Tiffany Justice, co-founder of Moms For Liberty, stated that Tim Walz is the "most anti-parent radical candidate that Kamala Harris could have chosen."
Tiffany Justice, co-founder of "Moms for Liberty," stated that she believes a potential Harris-Walz administration would pose a threat to America's families.
Justice criticized the Democratic presidential ticket, specifically Gov. Tim Walz, in a new interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, arguing that their policies would harm American children and infringe on parents' rights to make decisions about their public education.
"During the 2024 "Joyful Warrior Summit," Justice stated on Fox last week that Tim Walz is more extreme than just being strange. He is the most radical anti-parent candidate that Kamala Harris could have chosen."
In 2021, Justice and Tina Descovich, both former school board members, founded a conservative group to mobilize parent activists against public school policies they believe harm children and parents' rights to control their education.
Moms for Liberty has been opposing public schools' COVID-19 policies that members believe negatively impacted children's school experiences since its inception. Additionally, the organization has taken a stance against sexually explicit books in public school libraries and has challenged pro-LGBTQ agendas that they believe have been imposed on many schoolchildren without parental consent.
Moms for Liberty warned that Walz's policies as governor of Minnesota put him in direct opposition to everything the organization stands for and could signal how poorly Vice President Harris' time in the White House would be for families.
Justice stated that it is difficult to determine Kamala Harris's policies because she refuses to conduct interviews. However, we can gain insight into her character by examining Tim Walz and her vice presidential selection.
"Tim Walz holds an anti-parent stance. He believes that parents who do not support their child's desire to change their gender should lose custody. This view is extremely radical," she stated.
In 2023, Walz signed a bill into law that made Minnesota a "sanctuary state" for children seeking transgender surgical procedures and hormone prescriptions. The law instructs Minnesota courts not to follow prosecutions from other states against individuals who come to Minnesota for treatments such as puberty blockers, hormone therapy, or surgery.
In May 2023, Walz had already issued an order to prevent criminalization of transgender procedures in the state before the law was passed.
The Moms for Liberty co-founder stated that critics argue that the law allows parents to lose custody of their trans children.
Bob Roby, a Minnesota attorney with thirty years of experience in juvenile family court, stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the most harmful aspect of the bill is the language that categorizes children who are denied "gender-affirming care" (which includes therapy, hormone blockers, and transition surgery) as "in need of protection or services," enabling the courts to take "emergency custody" of the child.
Matthew Sharp, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, wrote in The Hill that the law allows anyone seeking custody of a child for gender-affirming healthcare to take the child to Minnesota, where state courts have exclusive jurisdiction over such cases.
The Times has stated that no case of this happening has been named, and that groups have only provided hypothetical scenarios about a provision in the law.
AFP News reported that Walz's support for LGBTQ communities was the subject of a barrage of attacks, with critics falsely accusing him of allowing the state to terminate parental custody if trans children were stopped by their parents from receiving gender-affirming care.
The New York Times piece debunked Justice's claim, according to the Harris campaign, who informed Planet Chronicle Digital.
The "weird" moniker that liberals have frequently used against the Republican 2024 ticket was flipped by justice.
"Removing healthy body parts from children is beyond strange. It's excessive," she stated.
The use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones on children in Minnesota and California, where Kamala Harris and Tim Walz reside, is a major concern for us, as parents' consent and knowledge are not obtained in these cases.
In California, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a law prohibiting schools from informing parents if their child uses different pronouns or identifies as a gender that differs from what's on their school record.
Justice explained that former President Trump's continued support from Moms for Liberty is due to his family's involvement in his businesses and his role as President, indicating his concern for the country's families.
She concluded that President Trump is a father, a husband, and a grandfather, and America has observed him incorporating his children into politics and business throughout the years.
