Kamala Harris' record is being "whitewashed" by the mainstream media, according to Ron DeSantis.
DeSantis accused the left of 'sanitizing' Harris' record.
Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., is displeased with the mainstream media's response to Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the presumptive Democratic Party nominee after President Biden suspended his re-election campaign last week.
"In Florida, it's hot in July and August, but you'll witness a wave of falsehoods in the upcoming months, as stated by the speaker to Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures" on Planet Chronicle."
He stated that there would be no opposition from established media corporations, who would attempt to alter history and depict Harris as someone she is not.
Earlier in the segment, DeSantis linked Harris to the Biden administration's policies.
"The media exerted great effort to discredit Biden, and now the left's arteries, including the corporate media, Hollywood, and academia, are using all available resources to restore the Democratic Party. To make Harris more appealing to the American people, they are whitewashing her background. However, many people have already seen her, and she is perceived as incredibly vapid and liberal. Furthermore, she has no notable accomplishments, and she is the owner of all the policies of the Biden-Harris administration, including the border and inflation."
Since Biden announced the end of his re-election bid last Sunday, Vice President Harris has been in the media spotlight.
Republicans have expressed concerns about her stance on fracking and her handling of the border issue, while simultaneously accusing the mainstream media of attempting to rebrand her image as she prepares to run against former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.
DeSantis stated that if Biden were to step down, he believed Americans would choose Harris as their leader because she is fully responsible for the policies and cannot distance herself from them, and a majority of Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.
"Ultimately, truth will prevail, but we must acknowledge that Biden set the bar so low that even Harris, who is not exceptional, appears brilliant in comparison. Since we are accustomed to Biden's inability to perform basic tasks, Harris's youth presents a challenge."
In crucial swing states such as Pennsylvania and Michigan, a recent Planet Chronicle poll indicates that Joe Biden and Donald Trump are in a tie. These two states may ultimately determine the outcome of the November election.
A New York Times/Siena College poll shows that Harris is closing the gap with Trump, with his lead now reduced to one point at 48% to Harris' 47%.
