Kamala Harris' parody Trump ad goes viral after she expresses disappointment over high prices: "This is heartbreaking."
The Trump War Room responded, "We definitely value her honesty."
On Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris's statement about the increase in American goods' prices since "before the pandemic" went viral.
In her economic policy speech in Raleigh, North Carolina, Harris attributed inflation to the supply chain crisis caused by the COVID pandemic, but emphasized that "prices remain too high" even though "our supply chains have improved."
""Today, a loaf of bread costs 50% more than it did before the pandemic, while ground beef has increased almost 50%," Harris stated at some point."
An official campaign ad was cut, with a "I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message" disclaimer added on at the end.
The "shortest political ad I've ever seen" was shared by the popular X account End Wokeness, featuring former President Trump.
The Democratic nominee was mocked on social media by others who boasted about the effectiveness of a parody ad for Trump.
Joe Concha, a Planet Chronicle contributor, reacted with devastation upon hearing the news.
""Kamala's economics speech stated that prices were better under Trump, and she is now creating ads for him, as Outkick founder Clay Travis commended the move," said Clay Travis."
Former Trump aide Hogan Gidley declared this as 'amazing'.
The Trump War Room mocked Harris by saying, "We definitely appreciate her honesty."
The post reached more than 2.5 million views in just a few hours.
The Harris campaign introduced a new federal plan to regulate corporate prices, aiming to lower grocery and other daily expenses.
"The Harris campaign stated that there is a significant distinction between fair pricing in competitive markets and inflated prices that do not reflect the true costs of doing business. This is evident in the higher prices that Americans pay for groceries."
The Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general would be granted the authority to impose severe penalties on companies for charging exorbitant prices under the proposal.
Some economists and financial experts have questioned the effectiveness of Harris' plan, stating that corporations do not significantly contribute to rising grocery prices.
Catherine Rampell, a Washington Post columnist, strongly condemned the policy, stating, "This policy is incredibly poor."
Perhaps it's not wise to begin with an economic plan that can be classified as federal price controls if your opponent has accused you of being a communist, according to Rampell.
Planet Chronicle' Jeffrey Clark and Megan Henney contributed to this report.
