'Kamala Harris' evasive responses to tough questions are frustrating voters.
One Michigan voter emphasized the importance of answering difficult questions and being transparent about one's stance.
People in Detroit, Houston, and New York City shared their thoughts with Planet Chronicle Digital about Vice President Kamala Harris' limited media exposure.
Gabe, a junior at Wayne State University in Detroit, emphasized the importance of answering difficult questions and being transparent about one's stance.
On Wednesday, a CNN poll showed that Harris had a slight edge in Michigan and Wisconsin, while Trump led in Arizona. Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania were all undecided.
In Wisconsin, Harris leads Trump 50-44%, while in Michigan, Harris has a 48-43% advantage. In Arizona, Trump holds a 49-44% lead over Harris. In Georgia and Nevada, Harris is ahead of Trump by 1%, while in Pennsylvania, both candidates are tied at 47%.
Gabe stated that increasing publicity for Harris would benefit her presidential campaign. Although she has a strong hold on the youth vote, he suggested that she could appeal to older voters by doing interviews, as this demographic tends to consume more news.
"He said, "I believe she may be facing some difficulties in obtaining that vote. It's crucial that she increases her interactions with the media and conducts more interviews because, as I mentioned earlier, the more you put yourself out there, the more people you'll reach.""
Without doing interviews, Harris is performing well, as suggested by Caleb, a sophomore at Wayne State.
"As the election approaches, I believe she should refrain from the media, such as avoiding interviews and reducing advertising. However, I think she is doing well and I have been keeping up with her press on social media."
In Texas, voters in the south weighed in on the vice president's absence from the media. Trump won the state by more than 5 points in 2020.
Samuel, a student at the University of Houston, told Planet Chronicle Digital that if he knew Kamala Harris and all these things, he believed she should drop out immediately.
Another University of Houston student, Cameron, stated that Harris should increase public speaking.
He said, "I'd like to know more about what she believes in and how she plans to differentiate herself from the current Biden administration. While I think she should speak more, we'll see how they perform against each other in the upcoming debate next week."
Harris is responsible for speaking to the press, according to Timmy from the Bronx in New York City.
Basketball players and football players are both asked questions by analysts after games. The analyst asks them about their feelings about the game and the laws. They must answer these questions. The same thing applies to her.
As a public figure, you can't ignore the public and it's her responsibility to handle the situation.
In four battleground states, recent polling data from Planet Chronicle shows that Harris has surpassed President Biden's 2024 election numbers, thanks to her strong backing among women, Black voters, and young voters.
While Trump is leading on key issues, more voters believe Harris is the one who can bring the country together and fight for their interests.
