James Carville believes Americans are hoping for a chaotic Trump-Harris debate.
A debate between Trump and Harris is planned for September 10th in Philadelphia.
Americans will tune in to watch the debate between Vice President Harris and former President Trump in high numbers because they find it entertaining to witness a media "train wreck" on television.
""People love train wrecks, and they saw one on June 27th when President Biden had a disastrous debate performance against Trump. So they're tuning in to see another train wreck," Carville said."
The Trump and Harris campaigns have been debating the rules for their upcoming debate on September 10 in Philadelphia, which will be hosted by ABC News.
"Carville stated that Trump needs the debate, as he instinctively knows its importance."
"It's going to get enormous ratings," he added.
Carville stated that they would be eagerly waiting on September 10.
Recently, both the Trump and Harris campaigns have been debating the rules for upcoming debates.
The Harris campaign was attempting to alter the debate format, according to Trump spokesman Jason Miller.
"Miller previously stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that enough is enough with the games and that the ABC debate was accepted under the same terms as the CNN debate."
Brian Fallon, senior adviser to the Harris campaign, previously advised Planet Chronicle Digital that ABC and other networks should allow both Trump and Harris to keep their microphones on during the entire debate.
"According to Fallon, we informed ABC and other networks interested in hosting an October debate that we believe both candidates' microphones should be live during the entire broadcast. Our understanding is that Trump's handlers prefer the muted microphone because they believe their candidate cannot act presidential for 90 minutes on his own."
"Trump's team may not have informed their boss about the dispute because it would be embarrassing to admit they don't believe he can handle himself against Vice President Harris without the use of a mute button, according to Fallon. The Vice President is prepared to handle Trump's constant lies and interruptions in real time. Trump should stop hiding behind the mute button."
Neither the Trump nor the Harris campaign responded to a request for comment from Planet Chronicle Digital regarding Carville's remarks.
