If the election is focused on policy, Trump may likely emerge victorious, according to a CNN host.
On Thursday night, Harris formally accepted her party's nomination at the DNC.
On Friday, CNN host and political commentator Michael Smerconish stated that former President Trump has a considerable edge over Vice President Harris in terms of policy.
Smerconish stated that the race would be about personality, and if it is, Trump would lose. However, he believes Trump would win in a battle over policy with Harris.
"According to the data and people's opinions, the Trump years are viewed more positively than the Biden-Harris record."
On Thursday night, Harris formally accepted the nomination for president from the Democratic Party at the Democratic National Convention, where she spoke.
Smerconish stated that Trump must control his impulses.
"He strayed too far from the script when he looked at the audience and thought they were getting bored," he said. "The Republicans had a great convention. I thought they were flawless, and the Democrats were just as good."
"The election fight between Harris and Trump remains uncertain, as Smerconish stated, "It's still a margin of error [race]. Who the heck knows the next twist in this road?""
Smerconish pressed Harris to answer questions from journalists earlier in the segment. Now, she must maintain momentum when questioned, as it still bothers me that on August 8th, she was asked when she would be available for an interview and replied, 'I think I'll do that by the end of the month.'
