At the DNC, Jon Stewart criticizes Bernie Sanders, Bill Clinton, and Democrats for inconsistency.
Democrats were criticized by Stewart for having a "billionaire mindset" during the convention.
This week, Jon Stewart criticized Sen. Bernie Sanders, Bill Clinton, and other prominent Democrats for inconsistency at the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
At their convention, they had union leaders and C.E.O.s. They had Democratic Party icons and lifelong Republicans. They had a man shouting, "Screw the billionaires!" followed by a very content billionaire. Stewart displayed images of Sen. Sanders and Illinois Governor and billionaire J.B. Pritzker.
This week, Vice President Harris was endorsed by Sanders and former President Clinton at the DNC, who spoke in support of her becoming the nominee and leader of their party.
Stewart acknowledged the Democrats' quick exploitation of their momentum and enthusiasm, showcasing the party's diversity and contradictions, on short notice.
Stewart mocked Democrats, stating that "it's acceptable if it's our billionaire. Although I dislike billionaires, he's acceptable."
The comedian also mocked Democrats for criticizing JD Vance, a Yale Law graduate, while multiple Yale alumni, including Hillary Clinton and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, remained silent.
Stewart compared Harris and Clinton, highlighting that Harris "prosecuted sexual predators" while Clinton's face was shown on-screen, causing audience laughter.
The Clinton Foundation did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment on the joke.
Multiple media figures gushed over Harris and DNC speakers this past week.
On Tuesday, MSNBC Host Alex Wagner, who is married to former Obama White House chef Sam Kass, declared that Trump and his "White patriarchy" MAGA supporters were afraid of the "multicultural" future represented by former President Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris.
On Wednesday, CNN anchor Dana Bash expressed surprise when she stated that Democrats are attempting to win the backing of men who prefer speakers such as Gov. Tim Walz and second gentleman Doug Emhoff over wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, who publicly supported Trump at the Republican National Convention by tearing off his shirt.
