Actress Selma Blair criticizes protesters who support Hamas terrorists: "Something deeply troubling"
Reports of Hamas executing six hostages, including one American, were followed by a video of Blair.
Selma Blair publicly endorsed Israel and denounced the protesters who celebrate "terrorists," she stated.
On Tuesday, the actress who starred in "Cruel Intentions" and "Legally Blonde" posted an Instagram Story where she criticized individuals, particularly those in California, for appearing to support "jihadists" in Gaza more than Israel.
A year ago, after October 7, the world had a chance to witness the capabilities of terrorists. Despite this, many people, particularly those in California, seem unaware of the tragedy and the truth of the situation.
She continued, "I stand with Israel, the hostages, and their families - mothers, sisters, friends. These innocent people have been in hell and then murdered. The jihadists, radicals, and extremists are terrorists, and they run Gaza. Many people are filling the streets with, praising something very wrong is happening here.
Blair, who is Jewish, concluded by saying, "I stand with all families and those who care for peace and human life. I'm with you. Am Yisrael Chai. God bless America."
The IDF confirmed the executions of six hostages, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, after an operation in tunnels below Rafah, a city on the Gaza Strip. The IDF believed they were killed by Hamas shortly before Israeli soldiers were about to rescue them.
In a deleted comment responding to a video by Abraham Hamra attacking antisemitism, Blair previously criticized anti-Israel sentiment.
"Thank you so much. Deport all these terrorist supporting goons. Islam has destroyed Muslim countries and then they come here and destroyed minds. They know they are liars. Twisted justifications. May they meet their fate," Blair wrote in February.
She later posted an apology for her comment, stating that she was spreading "hate and misinformation."
This period is marked by intense suffering and distress for numerous individuals globally, yet it presents an opportunity to enhance our comprehension of the significance of language. In response to Abraham Hamra's post about two congress members opposing the ban on October 7th Hamas terrorists entering the USA, Blair made a comment.
She acknowledged her mistake in conflating Muslims with Radical Islamists and fundamentalists, which caused unintentional harm to many people, and deeply regrets it. As soon as she was informed of her error, she promptly deleted the comment.
Planet Chronicle Digital reached out to Blair’s rep for a comment.
Some Hollywood actors have publicly supported Israel and criticized others for ignoring rising antisemitism in the wake of the Oct. 7 terror attack, despite many others expressing support for Palestinians and a ceasefire.
