Victoria Jackson of 'SNL' is not afraid of inoperable cancer.
In 2015, the comedian was initially diagnosed with breast cancer.
Former "Saturday Night Live" star Victoria Jackson remains in good spirits.
Jackson, 65, stated that despite her cancer being inoperable and returning, she is not afraid to face her fate because of her family's unconditional support throughout her health journey.
My two daughters and four grandchildren visited this weekend, and they asked if I was sad and scared. I thought, "I'm not sad," and wondered, "Why am I not sad?"
"I video every day of my daughter's life and don't miss one thing with my grandchildren, including tap dance recitals and acting shows."
On her 65th birthday, August 2, doctors informed Jackson about the news.
"I was like, ‘Oh, OK. Well, that makes sense.’ How can you catch every molecule?’" she told the media outlet. "I'm not good in science or math, but I expected it could come back. I kind of forgot about it for nine years. I forgot I had cancer."
In 2015, Jackson discovered she had breast cancer after experiencing a persistent cough that wouldn't subside while performing stand-up at a comedy club.
Doctors informed Jackson that she had Stage 3C breast cancer and the cancer had spread to 10 or more lymph nodes following her initial hospital visit.
She additionally shared her symptoms at the time.
"Although I didn't experience severe nausea, it wasn't pleasant," she remarked. "It's not like a picnic."
"I didn't really have nausea. It wasn't so bad. But it's not like a picnic." — Victoria Jackson
Doctors have informed Jackson that her cancer has returned, and she may only have three years left to live.
The comedian shared her diagnosis on social media, stating that doctors "cannot perform surgery to remove the marble in my chest that is obstructing my windpipe and ultimately leading to my suffocation."
Since being a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" from 1986 to 1992, Jackson has achieved all the dreams she's had in life, including having children, visiting Paris, and being featured on television.
She was recognized for her frequent appearances on "Weekend Update" and her impressive impersonations of Roseanne Barr, Sally Struthers, and Zsa Zsa Gabor.
"Regardless of when I pass away, at 65, 70, or 75, it makes no difference to me because I am grateful for the long and wonderful life I have had."
