Vanna White and Ryan Seacrest reveal their 'backstage routines' on 'Wheel of Fortune'.
Pat Sajak was replaced as the host of 'Wheel of Fortune' by Ryan Seacrest.
As the TV host begins his first season, Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White revealed their backstage routines.
"In an interview on "Good Morning America," Seacrest confessed that they check each other's teeth."
"Food, lipstick," White explained.
"We snack on nuts during breaks and shows, and we always check for almond skins," Seacrest said. "That's a good friend."
Seacrest replaced longtime host Pat Sajak as the host.
"Being on this show and working with Vanna is a dream come true," he stated. "I'm thrilled to have you join us. It's the same 'Wheel of Fortune' that everyone adores. The only difference is me standing there saying, 'Let's play!'"
Hosting "Wheel of Fortune" for Seacrest is challenging due to the spelling.
"He confessed that he is not proficient in spelling and often uses autocorrect in real life."
Seacrest disclosed the counsel he received from White while assuming command from Sajak.
She shared with the "GMA" hosts that when he arrived, she advised him to be true to himself, and he has followed that advice.
In June 2023, Seacrest will replace Sajak as the host of "Wheel of Fortune."
"Seacrest expressed his gratitude for being able to follow in the footsteps of the iconic Pat Sajak, stating that it was an honor to watch the duo on TV for 40 years and bring joy to viewers every night."
"I appreciate how you've consistently made contestants and viewers feel comfortable during the contest. I eagerly anticipate learning from you during this transition period."
On June 7, Sajak's final episode of "Wheel of Fortune" aired, marking the end of his tenure on the show, which he had announced on June 12, 2023. He will return to the show for his final farewell on October 7.
Sajak will star in the play "Prescription: Murder," which will be staged from July 31, 2025, to Aug. 10, 2025.
Sajak officially handed over the hosting reins to Seacrest in June.
"In a promo video shared by "Wheel of Fortune," Sajak informed the new host, "This is it, Ryan.""
Sajak told Seacrest that he believed the most enjoyable part for him would be interacting with the players and familiarizing himself with the audience at home.
