The family of the deceased 'General Hospital' actor Johnny Wactor publicly appeals for the identification of his murderers.
Three suspects in Johnny Wactor's murder were captured on surveillance images released by the LAPD.
Scarlett Wactor, Johnny Wactor's mother, and family and friends appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the suspects who killed the actor.
On May 25, a "General Hospital" actor was fatally shot by thieves who were attempting to steal his catalytic converter from his parked vehicle in downtown Los Angeles.
On the steps of Los Angeles City Hall on Tuesday, Scarlett implored for any details to solve her son's murder.
Scarlett requested that anyone with information come forward, as reported by The Associated Press.
Knowing that they've been captured and convicted will aid in our healing process, including my brothers and me.
"My constant companion is grief. I can't celebrate his birthday on Aug. 31 as he would have turned 38. I can't inquire about his return home for Christmas. I can't inquire about how his day went."
"We will ensure that no family experiences the suffering that Scarlett is going through today," City Councilman Kevin de León stated. "We are committed to obtaining justice for Johnny and will see it through."
"I'm asking that anybody that knows anything please come forward." — Scarlett Wactor
Brando Corbin was portrayed by an actor on "General Hospital" for 164 episodes from 2020-22. Additionally, he has credits in "Animal Kingdom," "Criminal Minds," and "Westworld."
The LAPD released surveillance images of the suspected murderer of Wactor last week.
Wactor, after finishing his shift at a nearby bar, was confronted by three individuals as he returned to his car with his co-worker.
He discovered his car was "lifted off the ground with a floor jack and thieves were attempting to steal the catalytic converter."
According to a press release, the Los Angeles Police Department's Central Area officers responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Shooting in the 1200 block of Hope Street.
"When the police arrived, they found the 37-year-old John William Wactor, who had a gunshot wound, and began providing first aid. They called for emergency medical services to assist."
He was later declared dead at a hospital, and three weeks later, he was laid to rest in his home state of South Carolina.
Johnny's death should not be in vain, as Scarlett has advocated for justice on his behalf and shared her thoughts on the matter with Planet Chronicle Digital.
She stated from her South Carolina home that the entire city needs to change, although she cannot vote them out or take any direct action, she will continue to advocate for change and maintain pressure until it happens.
"Although I can't prevent everything, I hope for the safety of others and an end to further deaths."
Anyone with information is being urged by police to contact LAPD or LA Regional Crime Stoppers.
