"Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul." — Slash
On July 21, a statement about Slash's death was posted on social media by the Guns N' Roses guitarist.
Slash wrote that Lucy-Bleu Knight, daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024.
"Lucy-Bleu was a talented artist with a passion for dreaming, and was loved for her charming, lovable, and sweet nature."
"The family requests privacy and asks for social media speculation to be minimized during their grieving and processing of this devastating loss."
Knight's mom, Meegan Hodges, is in a relationship with Slash. According to Rolling Stone, the couple first met in 1989 but broke up before rekindling their romance in 2015.
Hodges, Knight, and Scarlet were shared by Knight's former partner, Mark Knight, who later married Samantha Somers. Slash is also a father to two sons, London and Cash, with ex-wife Perla Ferrar.
Following the announcement of Knight's death on social media, an account believed to be Knight's shared a final post.
"I apologize for making you feel excluded or manipulated, for telling you to quit your job while being financially supported by my parents, for drowning real issues in toxic positivity, and for missing opportunities and connections due to my big ego, insecure heart, and fear of vulnerability. I hope my soul can learn to evolve from my mistakes as Lucy-Bleu. Peace"
Today, Hodges commented on the post about Knight's cause of death, expressing his love for Lucy.
