Simon Cowell, an 'AGT' judge, had a rare public outing with his son and fiancée after he disclosed that a 10-year-old saved him.
Eric welcomed by 'America's Got Talent' judge with fiancée Lauren Silverman on Valentine's Day 2014.
Simon Cowell is one proud family man.
The 64-year-old and his fiancée, Lauren Silverman, along with their 10-year-old son, Eric, had a rare public outing before the "America's Got Talent" quarterfinals on Tuesday.
As they walked on the red carpet, the family of three hugged and smiled for the cameras.
Months after Cowell revealed how his son helped him turn his life around, his appearance changed.
In June, on "The Diary Of A CEO" podcast, Cowell, who lost his father and mother, remembered the time he fell into a "downward spiral."
"When I lost my mom, I felt like I was on a downward spiral, and I lost everyone, including my parents, which made me realize the finality of everything, and the material things I had didn't matter anymore, as Cowell said."
Silverman welcomed her son, Adam, from a previous relationship on Feb. 14, 2014, while Cowell is also dad to their 18-year-old son, Adam.
"When I received a call from Lauren, which began with "Are you sitting down?", I knew what was coming next. It was like "Are you sitting down?", "Yes", and she told me. And, yes, it completely changed my life. It made me happy again."
Cowell replied, "Without a doubt, without a doubt. I had reached a point where nothing mattered, and I almost can't remember anything from that time."
In an interview with Hello! magazine in June, Cowell revealed how fatherhood transformed his life.
"Twenty years ago, I believed I wouldn't have children because I thought I was too old. However, when I learned I was going to be a father and saw his ultrasound, I became obsessed. My perspective shifted, and now I consider every decision with Eric in mind. Will it be the best choice for him?"
