Rick Hearst, an actor on "General Hospital," is giving a peek into his other job when he's not in the entertainment industry.
The actor, who played Ric Lansing in the soap opera, disclosed his secret life on social media at the age of 59.
He has been absent from 'GH' for several weeks, as he mentioned in an Instagram post.
"In a few days, I'll be returning home on a plane from Jersey, New Jersey, where I currently reside. I wanted to share with others what New Jersey looks like."
Despite being commonly perceived as mostly industrial, New Jersey has more to offer than what travelers see outside of Newark International Airport, as the actor continued to explain.

The actor from the soap opera shared with fans a sneak peek of his backyard and disclosed his upbringing on the East Coast.
"Hearst stated, "I have too much green grass, which is more than I desire. It's a significant amount to mow, but I do it myself. Yes, I know, it's quite unusual.""
Hearst stated, "By the time I return from Los Angeles, the trees in my lush and "spacious" green backyard will have turned colors."
In his video, Hearst showcased his mother's vegetable garden and his own luxurious in-ground pool to his followers.
He added a caption to his video, describing the garden state view from his backyard.
"Hearst remarked, "I love being here because it's very peaceful and tranquil.""
Hearst encouraged his followers to consider his real estate services in New Jersey, whether they were looking to purchase a property or obtain an estimate on their current home.
He returned to "General Hospital" this year after being absent for eight years. He has won two Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on the show.
He has appeared on "Days of Our Lives," "Beverly Hills, 90210," "The Young and the Restless," and "The Bold and the Beautiful" in addition to his television roles.
