Paula Abdul's tour is cancelled due to her injuries.
Canada was set to host Abdul's "Straight Up!" tour this month.
Straight up - Paula Abdul cannot keep dancing.
Abdul, known for her killer dance moves, has canceled her upcoming Canadian tour due to unknown injuries.
Despite her apology to fans on social media, the former "American Idol" judge did not provide much detail about the struggles she has been facing.
She wrote, "I must inform you with a heavy heart that I have recently sustained some injuries. Although I've received targeted injections for temporary relief, the demands of an entire tour are a different story."
"My injuries necessitate a minor procedure and a 6-8 week recovery time, which prevents me from participating in the Straight Up! To Canada Tour and the dates in Alaska and North Dakota."
Abdul expressed his regret for missing the chance to connect with fans, stating, "I deeply apologize to my devoted fans in Canada and the US, who are incredibly important to me. This disappointment has truly broken my heart. I eagerly anticipated the energy, love, and connection we always share when we're together. I promise to return, stronger and more determined, to deliver an unforgettable performance for all of you."
Abdul promised fans that they would receive refunds for their ticket purchases. No immediate response was received from the performer's representative when Planet Chronicle Digital requested comment.
Abdul, 62, is currently touring with New Kids on the Block as one of their special guests on their "Magic Summer Tour." He was scheduled to open for Boyz II Men at the Hollywood Bowl next weekend.
Since making shocking sexual assault allegations against "American Idol" executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, Abdul has remained focused on touring.
In December 2023, Abdul accused Lythgoe, 75, of sexually assaulting her twice while serving as a judge on "American Idol" and "So You Think You Can Dance," as per a copy of the complaint obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital.
""I am deeply saddened by the allegations made against me by Paula Abdul, with whom I have had a platonic friendship and professional relationship for over two decades," Lythgoe stated to Planet Chronicle Digital."
"Despite being caught off guard, I discovered these allegations in the media and want to make it clear: not only are they untrue, but they are highly offensive to me and my values."
Lythgoe acknowledged Abdul's history of erratic behavior but admitted he couldn't comprehend why she would file a false lawsuit. However, he vowed to fight the unfounded accusation with all his might.
Planet Chronicle Digital's Ashley Hume contributed to this report.
