Parker McCollum exhibits impressive reflexes after tumbling down the stairs: "No regrets"
McCollum is currently touring on his 'Burn It Down' album.
Parker McCollum's boots were not made for walking.
On Friday, the 32-year-old fell awkwardly on stage in New Mexico during his concert, which was his first performance since becoming a father for the first time.
The singer, who sang "Like a Cowboy," displayed quick reflexes after falling off the stairs with his guitar. He performed a side somersault and landed safely.
The country artist appears dazed after falling on stage, but quickly regains his composure and continues performing.
Corey Kent, a fellow country musician and McCollum's special guest in Rio Rancho, made fun of his buddy during the show by checking the stability of the stairs.
Kent shared a video on his Instagram and said, "I need to check this for you."
"Come on, dog," McCollum pleaded.
McCollum inquired of his fellow musician if they had ever "busted a-- on stage" before, after being assured by Kent that things were "good."
"In Florida, I got up once, Kent shared."
Kent attempted to ease the situation by suggesting that McCollum resembled an athlete when he tumbled.
"That's already on TikTok," McCollum said. "Come on with it, baby! I've got no shame! I don't care."
Kent's Instagram received positive feedback from commenters regarding McCollum's impressive handling of the situation.
"Not spilling your beer is like saving your guitar," another person said.
Another user remarked that he required credit for performing the task with a whole guitar in his hand.
"I wish I could fall gracefully like that, but I always end up looking clumsy," a fan joked.
"Another person agreed, saying, 'I don't think it gets any more graceful than that,' with a laugh," the speaker stated.
McCollum is not alone in wiping out as other country stars such as Shania Twain, Luke Bryan, and Carly Pearce have also faced financial difficulties.
McCollum's agent was contacted by Planet Chronicle Digital to inquire about his well-being following his fall. The next stop on his "Burn It Down" tour is in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Aug. 31.
