'Nicole Eggert, star of Baywatch, is in a 'gray area' after finishing cancer treatment: 'There's a lot of waiting.''
In January 2024, Nicole Eggert disclosed her stage 2 breast cancer diagnosis.
Nicole Eggert disclosed that she is uncertain about her 2023 breast cancer diagnosis.
Eggert told People magazine, "I am in a gray area and have finished my treatment, awaiting more imaging and possibly surgery."
""The gray area is the hardest because you don't know what's happening, and you're just doing something productive when you're doing treatment," she explained."
Eggert stated that she is unwillingly experiencing a "wild ride."
"Life is a roller coaster with its ups and downs," she said to Entertainment Tonight. "It's a wild ride that I never asked for. Sometimes I feel good, but it is what it is. I just try to stay positive and keep going each day."
The 52-year-old actress was part of the cast for the documentary "After Baywatch: Moment in The Sun," which premiered. Among the attendees were Douglas Schwartz, Michael Berk, Ingrid Walter, and Carmen Electra. However, Pamela Anderson was absent from the event as she did not participate in the project.
Eggert told ET on the red carpet, "It's a little surreal, but it's great to see everyone and how well received it's been."
The "Baywatch" star revealed her cancer diagnosis in January.
At the time, she shared with People magazine that she was the only caregiver for her 12-year-old daughter Keegan, who she had no family to rely on. She admitted to feeling overwhelmed and helpless, but ultimately realized that she had to overcome this challenge for her daughter's sake. Eggert's other daughter, Dilyn, is 25.
"She expressed her fear that her daily routine, which she relies on to keep everything running smoothly, will come to a sudden halt when she is not feeling well or sick, or when she is in the hospital. She feels overwhelmed and is doing everything she can to prevent herself from spiraling. At night, she worries about who will take care of all the bills and responsibilities when she is not able to."
In March, Eggert unveiled her shaved head on Instagram, with her daughter present for the big reveal.
Eggert, with a set of hair clippers in hand, smiled and removed her short hair while the clip played "Fight For Your Right."
"Maybe healing is not about changing ourselves but accepting who we are – Madeleine Eames," as captioned by the "Charles in Charge" star.
In October 2023, Eggert discovered a lump on her breast while performing a self-exam. She had gained 25 pounds in three months and was experiencing breast pain at the time.
"Eggert told People magazine that the pain and throbbing he experienced were intense. He immediately went to his general practitioner, who advised him to seek immediate medical attention. However, he couldn't get an appointment as everything was booked. As a result, he had to wait until November to get it checked out."
She was eventually diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer.
