Loretta Lynn's eldest granddaughter, Lynn Massey, has passed away.
The official social media pages of the deceased singer posted a photo of her along with the news of her passing.
"Lynn Massey, Betty Sue's daughter and Loretta's first grandchild, passed away this week after a long and difficult health battle. Our family is so grateful for the prayers and love continually shown to us."

At age 15, Betty Sue Lynn married Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn and became the mother of their first child, Massey, who was the eldest of their six children.
Lynn and Oliver have children such as Clara Marie, Ernest Ray, twins Peggy Jean and Patsy Eileen, and their son Jack Benny, who passed away in 1984 due to drowning after getting lost while horseback riding on their Hurricane Mills ranch.
According to The Associated Press, Betty Sue passed away at the age of 64 in 2013 due to complications of emphysema, near her mother's ranch.

Lynn, who passed away in 2022 at 90 years old, had a total of 21 grandchildren.
This year, Emmy Russell, one of her granddaughters, advanced to the Hollywood rounds on "American Idol."
Lynn frequently brought Russell on stage during her concerts, even though it wasn't her first time performing.
Russell shared on Southern Living's "Biscuits & Jam" podcast that Memaw (Lynn) gave him her guitar when he was 15 at the Ryman Auditiorium, saying, "You're the one that can do it." She always believed in his musical talent and felt it was her duty to pass down the guitar as a torch.
At the 2023 CMT Music Awards, Russell shared with Planet Chronicle Digital that her grandmother's most valuable advice was to "love God."
"She was deeply devoted to God and I believe it was more about listening to His voice and following His guidance."
