Lainey Wilson is revealing her former secret relationship and the reason why, despite dating for several years, she and her partner are still not engaged.
On the "Taste of Country Nights, On Demand" radio show, Wilson, 32, discussed her enjoyment of sharing more of her personal life with her fans.
"It's great to finally share my relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin 'Duck' Hodges, 28," she said. "For a while, I kept him hidden because I wasn't sure if he was going to stick around. But now that I know he's committed, I'm happy to share this part of my life with you."
She joked, "But he's not leaving. I haven't gotten rid of him yet."
Wilson, who has been on tour, only made their relationship public last May, bringing Hodges as their date to the ACM Awards. The country star soon revealed on the "Bobby Bones Show" that they had been secretly dating for 2.5 years.
"She revealed on the radio show that she plays all her songs for him first, ensuring he's heard a variety of music. Additionally, he's heard many love songs written specifically for him, which no one else will get to hear."
The actress who plays Yellowstone also discussed her plans with Hodges, emphasizing that she was not concealing anything.
"We're not secretly engaged, but I think an engagement needs to be during a season of our life where we really have the time to enjoy it," the "Heart Like a Truck" singer joked.
"Currently, I feel like I'm just going through the motions and not fully experiencing the moment. I want to be able to truly savor it."
Wilson and Hodges have been attending award shows together since their red carpet debut at the ACM Awards.
