Lainey Wilson from 'Yellowstone' shares a 'stunning' career milestone.
The singer of 'Country’s Cool Again' graced the 2024 People's Choice Awards stage.
Lainey Wilson is thankful for being in a location where she can express herself openly.
Wilson stated to Planet Chronicle Digital at the 2024 People’s Choice Red Carpet, "I am grateful for the opportunity to utilize my platform to discuss topics that are truly important to me. It's amazing to be in this position."
My dream has always been to sing and write country music, and the opportunities that have come my way are beyond my wildest imagination.
In Congress, Wilson testified as a "victim of AI" last month using her position.
The "Yellowstone" actor stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that it's astonishing that people listen to what he has to say, but he believes it's crucial to speak up when you strongly believe in something.
Wilson stated during her testimony, "My music and voice are an extension of myself, and I use them to connect with my fans. My art is uniquely mine, and it is a violation to have my name, likeness, or voice taken and used without my permission. It is unacceptable."
Not only has her voice been allegedly mimicked by AI, but, according to Wilson, her likeness has been used to promote weight-loss gummies, something she would never use her platform for.
She informed the committee that she has a large number of young children observing her, both girls and boys, and she aims to motivate them to embrace their individuality and self-love. She emphasized that she would never engage in any behavior that could discourage this sentiment.
She highlighted that protection from technology is not limited to actors, musicians, or other celebrities.
"High school girls who have experienced life-altering deepfake porn using their faces, elderly citizens convinced to hand over their life savings by a vocal clone of their grandchild in trouble, and every single one of us who is affected by AI, need protection. I'm grateful that you are considering taking action to ensure that these tools are used in a responsible way."
On Sunday night at the People's Choice Awards, Wilson performed a medley of her hits and her new single "Country's Cool Again" after her testimony and win for best country album at the Grammys.
She was thrilled as her band arrived, looking sharp. They were about to try something new, combining old and new elements, and she couldn't wait to showcase their unique sound.
"Jennifer Aniston is expected to be in the same building as many people, which makes it exciting for her to be here," she added.
Planet Chronicle Digital's Lauryn Overhultz contributed to this report.
