Lady Gaga's mother introduced her to her future husband, a businessman, saying, "I think I just met your husband."
In 2019, Michael Polansky, CEO of the Parker Group, first crossed paths with the singer known as Paparazzi.
Cynthia Germanotta, Lady Gaga's mom, expressed her belief that she had met the man her daughter would eventually marry five years ago, but Gaga remained unconvinced.
After meeting businessman Michael Polansky, she realized he was the missing piece in her life.
"I could never have imagined that my mom . . . found the most perfect person for me?"
Gaga first crossed paths with Polansky at Facebook founding president Sean Parker's birthday party in 2019. Polansky is an associate of Parker's, and Gaga went to the event hoping to size him up.
We had the most amazing conversation," she told Vogue. "They ended up talking for three hours.
"Polansky confessed that he didn't know much about the "Just Dance" singer and was unsure of what to expect when he arrived at the party. However, as soon as he arrived, someone informed him that the singer was looking for him. Upon meeting her, Polansky was struck by her warmth and openness, as she was genuinely curious about his life growing up in Minnesota."
As the pandemic struck, their love intensified, and they remained at her Malibu residence.
"Gaga stated that she had never met anyone like Michael before. He was incredibly intelligent and compassionate, and although their lives were vastly different, they were together solely because they were meant to be."
She stated, "I want my fans to know that I'm extremely happy and in good health."
"I kind of thought I was going to have to do this all by myself—forever. And that was really scary. Because it’s a big life. And I don’t think anyone really knows what it feels like unless you’re in it. And I don’t have to do this alone anymore." — Lady Gaga
The singer of "Bad Romance" stated that her last communication with her fans was through the 2020 album "Chromatica."
"She shared that the album represented a difficult period in her mental health journey. She felt lost and alone, struggling for years before finding support. However, a true friend recognized her pain and took the time to understand her on a deep level. Through their friendship, she began to heal and move forward."
Gaga, who had previously been engaged to "Chicago Fire" actor Taylor Kinney and talent agent Chris Carino, worried that she wouldn't find the right person after their breakups.
"She confessed that she initially believed she would have to handle everything on her own for eternity, which made her feel scared because life is significant and no one can truly understand the experience unless they are living it. However, she no longer has to face the challenge alone."
