Kate Upton, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, discloses the one thing she'll never do to maintain her physique.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's 2024 issue features Upton on the cover.
Kate Upton is all about looking good from the inside out.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, entrepreneur, and mom revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital that she has cultivated numerous healthy habits over the years, which are surprisingly straightforward.
"The 32-year-old said, "I believe in high-end ingredients for fueling my body. I don't count calories, but I prioritize what I eat for energy, mood, and strength. Food is my fuel, and I make sure to give myself the best possible ingredients.""
"Inside-out beauty is a big part of who I am. I don’t believe in calorie counting. I believe in having high-end ingredients, so you’re giving yourself premium fuel." — Kate Upton
Upton, a co-founder of Vosa Spirits, emphasizes the importance of using fresh, organic ingredients for her health and appearance. This requires adjustments to her daily routine.
"Eating high-end ingredients and consistently treating yourself well are key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle," she stated. "I prioritize organic, vegetable-rich foods and lean protein in my diet. After detoxing from preservatives and refined sugar, your body will guide you towards what it needs." When it comes to exercise, Upton believes in sticking to a routine that suits her taste and lifestyle, rather than following trends.
"Consistency is key to staying active in my life. I incorporate weight-based workouts and walking my dogs into my routine. I strive to maintain a healthy lifestyle by constantly moving and avoiding sedentary behavior. Mental health plays a significant role in achieving fitness goals."
To successfully change one's lifestyle, it is crucial to prioritize mental health and understand the underlying motivations for wanting to improve one's health. While small changes can be effective, focusing solely on physical appearance or a specific weight or measurement can lead to a short-term approach.
"Discovering a larger purpose in life, such as setting a positive example for your child, increasing your energy, feeling stronger and more capable, or releasing anger or frustration, makes it easier to incorporate that into your daily routine and lifestyle."
In October, Forbes reported that Upton, in her role with Vosa Spirits, would have a hands-on approach to developing new flavors and participate in packaging design and marketing strategies, while ensuring that the libation aligned with her healthy habits.
It is also based in Michigan, her home state.
"She explained that she pays attention to what she puts in her body, caring about preservative-free formulas and high-quality ingredients that result in fewer hangovers. She also loves the synergy of it all, as the brand and manufacturing are both from Michigan, where she is from."
"Since Michigan winters are lengthy and summers are brief, it's essential for individuals to savor a beverage," she joked.
Upton is featured on the cover of this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, which commemorates its 60th anniversary.
In 2011, Upton made her SI Swimsuit debut and was named Rookie of the Year. She had her first solo cover in 2012 and followed it up with another in 2013. In 2014, she appeared on the flip cover, and in 2017, she starred on the cover once more.
"Sports Illustrated launched my career when I was just 19 years old. They put me on the cover and gave me the opportunity to discuss important issues, such as health. Although I am still learning how to handle the limelight, being asked to return for their 60th anniversary was an immense honor for me. Now, as a mother and wife, I am at a different stage in my life. This moment represents a full circle for me."

She, like everyone else, has her good days and bad days, insisted the blonde bombshell.
Being in front of a camera in a bathing suit is something that nobody wants to do," she said. "It's like going jean shopping. Nobody wants to try on a bunch of jeans. The sizes are never the same, and they're pulling at you. But with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, it's so different... They're family.
"I've known everyone on set for so long, including photographer Yu Tsai, who is a close friend. I feel so taken care of. The shoot had a love and relaxed vibe, which was a testament to my career, relationships, and mental state. I believe that when you're in your 30s, things get better."
"Mental health is crucial because it involves being confident in one's self-worth and inner qualities. It's also about accepting that everyone experiences highs and lows and not being too hard on oneself during tough times. We should strive to be more understanding and accepting of ourselves, rather than adhering to societal expectations of bouncing back or achieving perfection. Life is not always about achieving balance, but rather about learning to cope with its challenges."
Upton advises her followers to prioritize their mental health for both physical and emotional well-being, as she has learned this lesson through personal experience.
"I believe we should give ourselves a break and allow ourselves to feel our emotions. If you maintain a consistent lifestyle, you can listen to your body and take care of your whole self, including your mental health. This, I believe, is the source of confidence."
"She stated that she was grappling with the highs and lows of her success while trying to comprehend and reclaim her body, emphasizing that it was not for others but for herself. She added that the images and her career were meant for her, and her body belonged to her."
