Josh Hall, ex-husband of Christina Hall, speaks out about their divorce, stating that he did not initiate it and will not speak negatively about anyone involved.
On July 15, Josh and Christina filed competing divorce petitions.
Josh Hall, Christina Hall's estranged husband, has spoken out about their divorce.
Josh, a 43-year-old Realtor and the 41-year-old TV personality's third husband, spoke out for the first time after splitting from Christina last month in a post on Instagram Friday.
Josh wrote in a photo caption that he prefers privacy, especially during a life-changing event like divorce, which he did not ask for.
Unfortunately, while it's important to respect and love others, the internet's permanence means that negative comments can have lasting consequences.
Our lives are real, and we are not here to entertain strangers with our private matters. These details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time.
"Those who know each of us, know who we are."
Through social media, Christina has openly discussed her divorce from Josh.
The HGTV star responded to her ex's Instagram Story message of "hope" with a fiery response.
Josh posted a picture of an art exhibit that read "Hope" and included a prayer and blue heart emojis.
Christina posted Josh's post on her Instagram story and wrote, "I 'HOPE' she pays me millions more than what she's already offered me," seemingly referring to their divorce settlement.
"I prefer privacy, especially during something as life-changing as a divorce I did not ask for." — Josh Hall
A source close to Josh later told People magazine that his post was not referring to their divorce and had "nothing to do with Christina."
According to an insider, the photo Josh shared was taken at City of Hope, a cancer treatment center, where he was visiting a "sick best friend who is a cop with a terminal illness."
A source close to Christina claimed she was unaware that Josh was at City of Hope because she believed he was in Nashville when she shared his post.
The majority of the cancer center's branches are situated in Southern California, which is where Christina and Josh reside.
As she faces an expensive divorce from Josh, the "Christina on the Coast" host made comments.
Christina's representative confirmed to Planet Chronicle Digital that no prenuptial agreement was signed before her marriage.
In October 2021, Christina and Josh secretly got married, and then they renewed their vows in September 2022 with a ceremony in Hawaii.
Both members of the former couple filed for divorce on July 15, stating "irreconcilable differences" as the reason.
Josh and Christina have different recollections of their separation date: Josh remembers it as July 8, while Christina believes they separated on July 7.
According to court documents obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital, Christina has accused her estranged husband of transferring $35,000 of her money into his personal bank account on July 8, just after their divorce filing.
Christina stated in the documents that she would not have asked him to send her money the day after she informed him of the divorce.
In his divorce filing, Josh requested spousal support from Christina. In her latest court filing, Christina stated that her ex "should not require" spousal support as he has his own source of income.
She stated that she believed the case was straightforward and that any fees and costs should be minimal, despite the possibility of paying spousal support and reasonable attorney's fees to Josh's counsel.
My life centers on my children and work, like all hardworking mothers. I believe that Josh earns his own income and thus does not require spousal support from me.
Christina recently discussed her divorce on social media while considering replacing Josh with one of her exes as her co-star in "The Flip Off."
Josh was to co-star with her in an HGTV series, where they would compete against Christina's ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather in a real estate flip-off challenge.
The divorce filing has put Josh's role on the show in doubt.
A fan in the comments of Christina's recent Instagram post suggested Ant Anstead replace Josh on "The Flip Off."
The "Christina on the Coast" host responded with a "LOL" and said that the "ratings" idea was "genius" in an interview with Us Weekly.
At this time, we are not providing further details about Christina's comments, as stated by her representative to Planet Chronicle Digital.
Anstead's representative did not respond to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
In May, HGTV announced that Christina, Josh, Tarek, and Heather were starring in "The Flip Off," which is currently filming. However, following the former couple's divorce filing, a source told Us Weekly that Josh is no longer involved with the show, and Christina, Tarek, and Heather are proceeding without him.
"The production of "The Flip Off" is ongoing without Josh, according to an insider."
Christina and Tarek, who have a daughter Taylor, 13, and a son Brayden, 8, were married from 2009 to 2018. Despite their divorce in 2018, the former couple continued to co-star in the hit HGTV reality show "Flip or Flop" for 10 seasons, from 2013 to 2022.
In January 2023, Tarek and Heather, who had been dating for three years and starred in the Netflix reality show "Selling Sunset," welcomed their first child, a son named Tristan.
In December 2018, Christina married Anstead at their home in Newport Beach, California, and welcomed son Hudson in 2019. However, the couple announced their separation in September 2020, with Christina filing for divorce two months later. Their divorce was finalized in June 2021.
Renee Zellweger has been dating Anstead since they met on the set of his show "Celebrity IOU Joyride" in April 2021.
