Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg reaffirm their love annually by renewing their wedding vows: 'Still deeply in love'.
Since 2014, McCarthy and Wahlberg have been wed.
Jenny McCarthy disclosed that she and her spouse Donnie Wahlberg have reaffirmed their marriage commitment 10 times.
On the "Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa" podcast, Kelly Ripa, a 51-year-old TV personality, shared details about her annual vow renewal tradition with her husband, actor Mark Consuelos, who is 54 years old.
""I used to mock celebrities and others when they renewed their vows, but now I understand the importance of tradition and staying committed," said the "The Masked Singer" judge."
McCarthy stated, "He said, 'Let's remember our vows and discuss our pastor's reflections on the year, giving us something to ponder as the year progresses.'"
"So, there is something nice about it."
The "John Tucker Must Die" star remembered that the only thing she doesn't like about the couple's tradition is that the "Blue Bloods" star prefers spontaneous ceremonies.
"I've only been nonchalant once, which is when he surprises me every year. I turn around a corner and find myself in sweatpants with messy hair and no makeup, and then there's the pastor and a violinist. I respond with, 'Ugh, Donnie?'"
"But now we're going on 10 years, so . . . " she continued. "So, that's the only part that I'm like, ‘What the hell?’"
"Have you had 10 vow renewals?" Kelly Ripa inquired.
"Ten vow renewals," McCarthy confirmed.
Before inquiring about the pair's tradition, Ripa mentioned that she and her spouse, Mark Consuelos, were "very superstitious" about vow renewals, while her podcast co-host Jan Schillay believed it was the "precursor for a divorce."
McCarthy and Wahlberg were "proving us wrong," as agreed upon by Ripa and Schillay.
""We are madly in love and have no fear about curses or superstitions," the former "Singled Out" co-host said."
McCarthy added, "If I were to read our texts today, I would back up and say, 'This is what I got this morning. "The man, he loves you. You inspire him, you help him. He doesn't know how, but you make him better." Sometimes we'll do the third person for fun."
She added, "And then I wrote back. I said, ‘Oh, I love you so much. Thank you for the sweet words. I just adore you. We really won the lotto with each other,'" she added.
"He stated, 'We did,' this morning."
Every week, McCarthy's husband performs a romantic gesture for her, which she enthusiastically praises.
""Since the day we met, he has been sending me flowers every Monday," she shared with Ripa and Schillay."
This Valentine's Day, Wahlberg posted a heartfelt message about his wife on Instagram.
"He wrote alongside a video of himself with his spouse, "To the love of my life, Mrs Wahlberg aka Lady aka Jenny aka Jennifer Ann McCarthy — I love you.""
