Jennifer Lopez's divorce from Ben Affleck was influenced by his unpredictable behavior and extreme mood swings, according to a report.

Little is known about why Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck split less than a week after she filed for divorce.

New information about Affleck's behavior may have played a role in the breakdown of his relationship.

In May 2023, just a few months after their wedding, Affleck and Lopez were caught on camera in a heated moment in Santa Monica. A video obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital shows the couple walking to their car, with Affleck opening the passenger door for Lopez. However, once she gets inside, he slams the door shut in a dramatic manner.

As he nears the passenger side, he can be heard telling the paparazzi, "I believe you've captured it."

In February, two months before their official separation date, Affleck accompanied Lopez to the Grammy Awards. The viral moment between the two was captured on camera.

Lopez gently slaps Affleck on the chest after he whispers something she doesn't like, and they realize the camera is rolling and host Trevor Noah is speaking moments later.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter the following month, Affleck revealed what truly occurred. He said, "I saw Noah approach and I was like, 'Oh, God,'" he began.

"We were unaware that they were filming us in this shot, but I had a plan to slide away from my partner and leave her sitting next to Trevor once the camera started rolling. She warned me not to do it, saying it was a husband-and-wife thing."

Despite their efforts, the reunited couple couldn't sustain their long-distance relationship.

When the toxicity became pervasive due to mood swings and big highs and lows, they said that no one can help you, and you have to help yourself.

According to Amy Laurent, a professional matchmaker and the author of "8 Weeks to Everlasting," Lopez's lifestyle may have played a role in the split.

"Jennifer Lopez is a powerhouse who leads a life far different from most of us. Celebrities, in general, face much greater challenges in finding love due to their unique circumstances. For mega-stars with extravagant lifestyles, the difficulty is even greater."

On August 20, 2019, two years after their wedding in Georgia, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Lopez cited "irreconcilable differences" for the reason of their split, adding that they'd separated on April 26. She did so without a lawyer, Planet Chronicle Digital confirmed through court documents.

Neither Affleck nor Lopez's representatives responded to Planet Chronicle Digital's request for comment.
