Jennifer Garner's rigorous fitness regimen transformed her from "in shape" to "Marvel fit" for "Deadpool & Wolverine."

Jennifer Garner needed time in the gym to prepare for her role as Elektra in the new "Deadpool & Wolverine" film.

Garner revealed on Instagram that she was in excellent shape during the filming of "Elektra," but that level of fitness would not be sufficient for a Marvel movie.

In the video, Garner demonstrated challenging exercises to prepare for her role in the third "Deadpool" film, which was proposed to her by Reynolds and Levy.

"On the set of 'The Adam Project,' Garner shared a photo of the two actors giving each other a look that communicates an idea, with 20 pages of dialogue and nuclear codes. The two actors have a crazy artistic kismet," Garner captioned her post.

"Since 2004, I hadn't used Elektra's sais, but I was in good shape, just not Marvel-level fit," she said.

To prepare for Elektra's return, Garner included swimming, weightlifting, boxing, running, trampoline, and balancing exercises in her routine.

""Shawn and Ryan were gifted in many ways, but seeing and elevating people around them was at the top of the list. Garner and I were in heaven on set with them, along with my old pal Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, and Wesley Snipes. Shooting the fight was so fun, being there all together — truly like a dream," Garner continued."

The actress concluded, "I am proud of my friends and grateful to be up there with them. However, 'thank you' does not fully express my gratitude, so I will continue to search for the right words."

In 2003, Elektra was portrayed by Garner in the film "Daredevil," alongside her then-husband, Ben Affleck. She later starred in her own movie in 2005.

Garner's workout routine received praise from fans in her comment section.

Olivia Wilde wrote, "You are such a cool person." Eva Longoria responded, "Wow! This is great! But you never cease to amaze me!"

Another user said that weight-lifting pumpkins is the greatest thing they've ever seen.
