Jennifer Garner's love life may be affected by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's divorce, says an expert.
Last week, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck as he was dropping off his oldest daughter with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Despite her private relationship with John C. Miller, Jennifer Garner has continued to be a supportive friend and co-parent with ex-husband Ben Affleck.
Last week, Garner and Affleck were seen together in high spirits as they sent their oldest child off to college in Connecticut. The day before, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from her husband of two years.
Garner and Miller went on a date night in Malibu after her return home, but celebrity matchmaker Alessandra Conti cautioned that Miller may struggle with what's to come for Garner now that Affleck is in a new crisis mode.
Reports have emerged that he is uncomfortable with the nature of Ben and Jen's relationship, according to Conti's exclusive interview with Planet Chronicle Digital. Anonymous sources often indicate a fire when there is smoke, as we have learned time and time again.
"Despite not knowing the identity of the anonymous sources, the fact that many insiders have come forward to reveal Ben's lack of support for Jen's special relationship is a cause for concern."
She added, "I hope he rises to the occasion and realizes that Jennifer needs him more now than ever because she is taking on so many roles in Ben Affleck's life."
"However, it is a red flag that there have been a lot of insiders coming out about his nonsupport of the very special relationship that Ben and Jen have." — Alessandra Conti
Garner, who is a very strong woman, has shown her strength time and time again. She is a mother and has won numerous awards for her acting. She is kind and always helps those in need, whether it's through her work or in an off-the-cuff way. Ben is lucky to have her as his partner.
In 2000, while filming "Pearl Harbor," Affleck and Garner met on set but kept their relationship professional due to her marriage to Scott Foley. After Affleck's failed first engagement to Lopez in 2003, Garner and Affleck reconnected and began working together on "Daredevil," both of whom were now single.
In 2004, they made their relationship public and got married the next year. In 2015, the ex-couple, who have three kids together, declared their separation and, after nearly three years, finalized their divorce in 2018.
Weeks after, the "13 Going on 30" actor started dating Miller, who was previously married to violinist Campbell and has two children with her.
Garner and Miller's romance is one of the least straightforward relationships in Hollywood, according to Conti.
WATCH: CELEBRITY MATCHMAKER ALESSANDRA CONTI QUESTIONS JOHN MILLER'S INTENTIONS BEHIND SECRETIVE RELATIONSHIP
"As a matchmaker who works with celebrities, Conti believes that going about a relationship with an A-lister in a way that avoids public displays of affection is not a good approach. While privacy is important, it can also make female celebrities feel ashamed or apologetic about their careers and achievements."
She stated, "Even though he doesn't show it openly, I believe that when someone is secretive about a relationship, it indicates a lack of support. It suggests an unsupportive attitude."
Garner's secretive relationship with Miller was compared to Taylor Swift's six-year romance with actor Joe Alwyn by Conti.
"It kind of shows, even though he's not outwardly displaying not being a supportive partner, I would say that when somebody is so secretive about a relationship, it's giving nonsupport. It's giving unsupportive." — Alessandra Conti
Despite not openly criticizing Taylor, the stark contrast between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship has been noticeable. Their relationship has flourished, and they maintain a private relationship. No one knows what they discuss in private.
"Although they give people what they want, and he celebrates her success, like a John Miller or a Ben Affleck, who is media averse, even though Ben Affleck is an A-lister himself, I am not a fan of approaching celebrity relationships in this way."
