'Ice-T, star of 'Law & Order: SVU,' criticizes fan who believes the show has become too "woke."'
The 26th season of 'Law & Order: SVU' will debut in October.
In each episode of "Law & Order: SVU," a disclaimer appears on screen stating that the narrative is not based on any real person or event.
The show has borrowed from real-life scandals, with episodes reflecting actual crimes, such as the domestic violence between Rihanna and Chris Brown and the molestation case involving Josh Duggar.
A "SVU" fan believes the writing has become more woke and is now expressing their dissatisfaction to a cast member.
In August, during the ongoing Paris Olympics, Ice-T, who has been playing Sgt. Odafin "Fin" Tutuola on the crime show since the second season, announced that he was getting back into his sergeant mode.
"It appears that everyone is at the OLYMPICS, as the actor shared with X that he was on location filming the 26th season of "SVU.""
A user on the social networking platform responded to Ice-T's post 28 days later, asking, "Has SVU been returned to its original format? It seems to have become more woke."
Tracy Lauren Marrow, also known as Ice-T, promptly responded to the quip.
"What is Woke? I don't care," he replied with a laugh.
The rapper has consistently been vocal, never expressing regret for his blunt remarks. In February 2023, following the installation of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, he declared to Planet Chronicle Digital that he was impervious to cancel culture.
ICE-T REVEALS HIS JOURNEY TO THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME AND THE CONTROVERSIES SURROUNDING HIM FOR 40 YEARS.
"Ice-T stated, 'For 40 years, they've tried to cancel me, but I'm hard to cancel. I've already revealed all my flaws and vices, and people still love me.'"
"People hate those who are above them, and no one hates someone below them. They choose to pick someone who is doing worse than them. I use this as motivation. When someone tells me I can't do it, I know I have to do it. I use negative energy as fuel and eat haters for food."
The 26th season of "Law & Order: SVU" will debut on NBC on October 3rd.
Planet Chronicle Digital did not receive an immediate response from Ice-T's representatives.
